Arrested Development 11\14\04

Pretty good episode

"I hear zoo noises"

MrBob 11-14-04 08:23 PM

Great episode.

I loved Tobias spying on Lindsay with the blue makeup.

Oscar's Blue dot was funny as hell, as was Buster's reaction to seeing it. I love the S1 refrences with the Cornballer, and Lindsay's Mommy what will I look like business.

also liked how at the beginning Tobias had the blue paint behind his ear and there was blue paint on the wall from last episode... subtle things like that make the show

Actually, Lindsay's service showed what a young child would look like as an elder.

I enjoyed the tribute to Buster Keaton when the wall fell on...Buster. A lot better than last weeks episode...funny stuff.

Jadzia 11-14-04 09:32 PM

I love that the boat was called "The Seaward" and it sounded like they were calling it "The C-Word".

TheVelvetRope 11-14-04 09:35 PM

"My reproductive member is shaped like a lobster tail but without the shell." LMAO

das Monkey 11-14-04 09:59 PM

Great episode. Last week stumbled a bit (just a bit), but there was a lot of great (and subtle) humor tonight.

das

Geofferson 11-14-04 10:07 PM

Great episode tonight. Loved Tobias' storyline.

Tscott 11-14-04 10:11 PM

"No Brothero! Brothero!"

WestEndRiot 11-14-04 10:25 PM

i like the digs on Bush this season.

last week: "Gob sat there for a full seven minutes" (or something very similar)

this week: Gob flying onto the scene in front of a Mission Accomplished banner. Wearing a construction worker's outfit when he didn't lift a finger on the worksite. the slogan "solid as a rock"

....so good.

but what made me laugh the hardest was Tobias' line during the "Next Week On..." how he worked in "i think my nipples are bleeding." his delivery turn ordinary lines into comic gold.

Patman 11-14-04 10:35 PM

Rock does beat Scissors!

Loved it when the Business Model introduced Gob as "Gob Bluth" (pronouncing Gob as "Gob" instead of "Jobe").

Oscar's blue bot was hilariously placed in both scenes.

How did they get Thomas Jane for this guest appearance?

I think Portia's new eyebrows need "guest appearance" billing on their own.

Tobias's scenes were all pretty funny.

"Just get rid of the Seaward."

"I'll leave when I'm good and ready."

(paraphrased)

MrX 11-14-04 11:18 PM

The Mission Accomplished banner was greatrotfl

I liked "No Brothero" after they spent about 4 episodes last season with Gob and Michael not knowing what hermano meant

the narrator 11-14-04 11:58 PM

good episode throughout

Deftones 11-15-04 12:15 AM

this episode was freaking fantastic.

Yeah and what I put is close to what it was named.

I loved how the Mexican cops also had the lagging cop with the "beat 'em up" stick.

" I have no problem with that. "

Yeah, I noticed them. I don't think they were explained.

I didn't notice that myself, and I didn't see an explanation.

If I learned one thing from the DVD of Season 1 it's that there's a lot of deleted scenes on this show. So, unless it's explained in another episode we'll probably see it there.

I am not disagreeing with what it is named, but the picture they showed in this episode was what Kitty and George's baby would look like. Lindsay's service didn't do that. It showed what a baby would look like at age 80.
