Episode Title: "Cold Station 12"
Spoiler:
w: Alan Brennert d: Mike Vejar |
Wow. the sudden improvement of Enterprise seems to have left most of us speechless.
This thread over 9 hours old and no negative posts! |
hahahahah ..good one Damfino ..it's no Lost thread..that's for sure..but I guess we'll see comments after it airs tonight..
|
the titular Cold Station 12 |
She's titular enough already. We don't want someone poking an eye out.
|
This one is by another new writer, following Ken LaZebnik, who wrote last week's "Borderland". Hopefully, he takes to Star Trek as well as LaZebnik did with his first script.
|
was the non augmented augment the kid from commish?
if so his next guest role should be on the shield great episode |
I'm speechless. This show is actually good now. It went from suck to good in the space of two weeks. Wow.
Finally they're dealing with the origins of the Earth-Klingon war. Federation history! Yay! |
This was one of the better episodes in a long time. But I believe the reason may of you out there think its better is due to Brent being on the show. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but the Dr. (played by Brent) is the one who created Data.
|
No. Noonian Soong created data. This Soong is an ancestor of Noonian. But yes, I do hope the show continues to hold up well once the Brent Spiner arc ends.

:(
Stupid Suns game ran over. Will have to wait until Sunday night to watch. |

I like how they're (finally) addressing some of the major Trek history we've learned from prior Trek shows, like the Eugenics war (although they've changed things around) and the Earth-Klingon war.
If Lucas was involved, they'd have changed the TOS episodes to add new CGI and some bar music scenes. |
This episode was definitely better. I'd even venture to say it was "good".
What I found most impressive about this episode (and the arc) is that they seem to be avoiding the old hoary Star Trek cliches than plagued Voyager and the first three seasons of Enterprise, mostly an overreliance on technobabble, reusing alien species without any real reason to, recycled plots, and crew blandness. TNG had this last problem too, but at least the plots were well-constructed and entertaining (for the most part). The show isn't perfect: does anyone believe that the Augments aren't going to turn against Soong, for example? If they don't I'll be pleasantly surprised. But they're really striving to make this show about something, which is great. |
This episode was a very good middle part to the story.
I believe that Soong will eventually have to help Archer and company defeat the Augments. I wonder if the Klingons will go away after the capture/destruction of the Augments or if this is how the war with the Klingons begins? Can't believe I am actually looking forward to this next episode and the next story arc. Hope they keep up the good work. |
I believe this is showing how the earth/klingon war started. That should mean a lot of klingon battles to come.

The only thing missing from this episode was a dropkick during Archer's fight with Malick.

Not bad. I don't think it was as good as last week's episode, but still pretty good.
|
I'll agree with Deftones, not as good as last week, but still pretty good.
I don't know if it's just because this is the first season I'm watching the show in HD, but some of the FX look awesome. The shot of the Bird of Prey coming up behind the transport was sweet. :) |

good.
|
I thought it was good but not as good as the first part. Kinda predictable. So let me guess, Soong will join forces with the Enterprise crew in the last part.
Thing will see Little Kahn or was he already put in that ship that will appear on TOS? |
