Don't think I'm going to like this one. Another episode that Clark is going to have to explain to people (especially Lana) that he was not himself.
As long as there are no move cave scenes! |
Poor Clark - too bad the switch couldn't take place with Lois. ;)
|
Sounds like
Spoiler:
|
They had an episode the first season where clark transferred his powers to some guy through lightning.
Why do they recycle the same crap and think we will forget. |
Time for a mindwipe!

Of course, the body swap thing has been done countless times before, but it's new to Smallville, though. |

So I'm guessing you won't be watching this "recycled crap" right? But of course you will. And bitch about it afterwards like every other poster. :D |
Pretty good.....last week's still ranks as the All-Time Best.
Next episode look like the return of "Freak of the Week" |
Agreed, it was a good episode.

I really didn't like the episode too much, things got swept under the rug way too fast. Though Lex's reaction to Clark walking through the door at the end was priceless.

It was nice how each actor captured the other's personality. I guess with the red Kryptonite thing running its course, this was a new twist on having Bad Clark. If anything, this episode might be another foreshadow on what will happen to Chloe by the series' end. And with Lionel free and in a healthy body, it was good to see his old evil self again. Predictably, no explanation to Chloe or Lana would undo any damage since they've seen Clark too many times like this. Too bad he had to find out the hard way about Lana's boyfriend and that he lost out on getting a scholarship. (It just means he'll end up in Metropolis University.)
At least Lionel will still be a threat somewhere along the line. I don't think his "changed man" line means he's going to be turning the other leaf any time soon. It could mean he feels even more invulnerable than ever before. The ending seemed to wrap up all too easily, except for the last very last scene, which I hadn't expected. |
so how did his liver get cured?
|
Great episode
The ending just makes me sad that we won't see a Clark / Dr.Swann switcheroo. |
Overall, a fun episode of "Freaky Friday" comes to Smallville. At least the switcheroo was attributed to the artifact, and not some crazy form of Kryptonite.
Had to laugh when "Clark" was checking himself out down there while getting dressed in his loft over the barn. If Chloe ever had romantic notions towards Clark, they are pretty much crushed over "Clark's" cruel tease. Lana's gotten a lot meaner this season. Not sure she's wearing it well, but it's a change from that doe-eyed look she'd give Clark at the end of the episodes from the previous seasons. Is Clark benched or kicked off the team? Will he even return to the team after what "Clark" said to Jason. Thought it was too convenient that Clark remembered his time in the joint, but Lionel had amnesia but gained a rejuvenated liver to keep him around for a long while on the show. Loved "Clark's" heat vision kicking in when he was hugging Martha. Lionel is such a lecherous guy at heart. :) |

I was hoping for flying since "it wasn't really Clark"
|
but he had no other powers as lionel
kind of wonder why they even had him be sick to only cure him so easily |
Look... if you can believe body switching, you can believe cured livers, mmmm'kay?
|
I always get a kick out of Tom Welling playing Dark Clark, or a badass because the attitude, coupled with his powers make for interesting twists and turns as to how powers going unchecked can lead to some serious abuse of those powers and the consequences on his circle of friends and family.

Really enjoyed this one. Solid performances, especially Welling who captured some very Lionel-like nuances.
