NYPD Blue 10/19/04

Probably the best episode of the season, but that's not saying much.

The way they're writing this season the show is going to end with Andy blowing his brains out.

I didn't even realize they got rid of Valerie until the new ADA talked about the person before her.

Kal-El 10-20-04 12:58 AM

Well at least we didn't have the usual ending with Andy telling of the new Lt. and Lauren and Rita's catfight.

I liked it still. Junior really fucked up big time though.

B.A. 10-20-04 07:19 AM

That ending kicked ass - Dennis Franz can do "intense" better than anyone on television not involved w/ the Amazing Race.

I thought the new ADA that John screwed over in court was a cutie.

The season is not going to end good.

And I wish Charlotte Ross would come back and do some guest spots. I hate how she is a part of the story, but she isn't - drives me nuts.

Bonnie's accent was gone this time...I think. All I know is that she looked really hot this ep.

Red Dog 10-20-04 08:26 AM

Clark is really being a douche this season. If was I banging good-looking chicks left and right, me thinks every aspect of my life would improve. ;)

That was a great ending with Andy.

I loved Medovoy giving the LT every minute detail. After that, the LT seemed to give the squad some room to breathe.

Charlie Goose 10-20-04 08:42 AM

I wonder if Clark's one night stand set him up so his testimony would be worthless,

You can tell Andy was really upset because his lower lip was quivering.

Next week, according to TV Guide (not a specific spoiler)
Spoiler:
Andy's stalker is revealed.

cdoug57 10-20-04 08:42 AM

Thought this was the best so far this season.

Don't like the new Lt., but was glad to see him having some concern for Andy.

Really enjoyed the ending, glad to see Andy is still trying to keep himself together. Sorry that John isn't.

Phil L. 10-20-04 09:22 AM

I wonder if they are going to try to have the new Lt. gradually come around to being a decent, stand up guy or will they keep him being a major dick.

Telling Andy his car was 500 miles past due for an oil change.

That was hilarious the way the Lt. craned his head to see the odometer, practically within kissing distance with Andy.

I was starting to think the new LT is corrupt and was involved somehow with the kidnapping.

Now that would have been a good way to flow with this season.

Thought it was a good episode with a great ending. I agree with B.A. about the new ADA, she was hot

LB: LOL! I watched the episode on Wednesday morning before heading out and the first thing I checked when I got in the car was to see how many miles I've driven since my last oil change. Looks like I'm down for one in the next week or so.

I think the LT is going to mess up big time down the road due to him going by the book and the squad (especially Andy) will be force to save him thus making the LT see a new light.

Did anyone else think the new DA looked like that cop that Junior got involved with a season or two ago? (The ones whose husband-also a cop-played by Kevin Dillon-that beat her up.)

You mean Lana Parilla (from Boomtown). He never really got involved with her, but he should have had. They kind of dropped that storyline. There was a slight resemblance.

B.A. 10-21-04 10:21 AM

Lana Parilla was definitely a missed opportunity.

Just watched this off TiVo. I saw the TV guide post above, but does anyone know if this story line with the Andy is going to last all season? I could see them keep bringing people back from Andy's history all year.

And after the ending tonight, I was thinking maybe Andy is going to go full circle. Series will end with him in bed with a hooker and get [gump]"shot in the buttocks"[/gump].

The wife says, Jr. and the ADA are going to hook up.

Good to see John de Lancie again. I think they even mentioned a "Delancie Ave".

Pretty good. I didn't watch last year. when did Clark start boozing it up? He has been a dick this season.

That is the way I took it. A set up.

Loved the oil change scene, as well as when they got back to the squad and the Lt. just pointed to the sign in book at Andy.

It's something that just started this season. His ex who had mental problems that he was helping her with killed herself at the end of last season.
