Re: Lost 10/13/04

I'm not going to read through this thread because of potential (unintentional) spoilers, but I just finished up this episode. Now that the show is over I've finally gotten a desire to watch it, and we're watching it via streaming Netflix.

Unfortunately I know a little bit about the finale, but I don't know anything about anything else between now and then. Four episodes in, though, I can really see why there was such an obsession with this show.

Wow.

Wow.

Walkabout was the episode that totally hooked me into the show. You're in for a treat.

I bet this thread is absolutely hilarious to read now that the show is over and will spur another round of complaining from people who hated the finale.

So who was the peaceful alien? The smoke monster? Didn't seem very peaceful.

Russeau perhaps?

Spoiler:
Abrams states he won't tell whether it's purgatory or not, but that creating theories like that are the same things he'd be doing if he was a viewer. Nothing here, lame

So I guess we may have been right that everyone guessed it and the flash sideways were just a retcon.

You know, aside from the cliffhanger finale, the first season of LOST stands on its own brilliantly. I envy you, reubs82, for getting to see it all again for the first time.

Agreed. I'm re-watching Season 1 now and thoroughly enjoying it even though I already know what happens. After re-watching "Walkabout," I can't believe I didn't see coming what all of us who have already seen the episode know about it.

I'm rewatching the series now too...and noticed for the first time that all the "magical" stuff that people thought Walt was capable of also occurred when Vincent was there. Has anyone ever suggested something unique about the dog? He was with Jack in the beginning...and again in the end. Of course, we'll never know - but I thought it was interesting. And dog spelled backwards is...Oh, nevermind...I'm done with all these LOST theories. :)
