Survivor: Vanuatu 10/7/04

My first time starting a show thread (i think).

From Yahoo:

Spoiler:
Last week, the Survivors were stunned by a double dose of Tribal Council -- so a dude and a dudette were sent home -- namely, John and Mia. I'm sure the drama leading up to their ousters will be enjoyable to watch, but I forgot to tape it. Regardless, I'm still hoping for another cannibal appearance.

From Survivor Vanuatu website:

Spoiler:
Tempers flare at both camps after the double Tribal Council. Alliances seem clearly drawn and several Survivors have trouble holding back their frustration.
The Tribe that wins Reward is surprised by a prize that sends a visitor to their camp for 24 hours.
Homesickness plagues Bubba, who is comforted by a fellow tribe member and is advised to avoid being perceived as weak.
One Survivor plays a puppet master of sorts in an attempt to pit one tribemate against another.

The music reveals all as the cameras switch between tribes in the immunity challenge.

So I'm guessing the episode tonight didn't get any better ? This was my first purposefully missed Survivor in quite a while. If I had to hear one more redneck "It's just a game" or "It's just strategy" or "We gotta get rid of Rory" from the guys or one more butch sounding "those younguns just ain't right" or "Tribe harmony" from the girls, I likely would have put a brick through my TV .

Well that is one thing, but the main thing for me is that the challenges they have don't translate well to tv. They were able to have compelling M v F challenges before (the last time they split on gender lines) but these are boring to watch.

My dad and I both said that at the same time as soon as the credits rolled.

This is shaping up to be the worst season ever. Except for Julie.

I don't think it's that bad, but maybe you guys will like it better next week since they seem to be mixing up the tribes.

Couldn't agree more. Worst Season Ever. This makes 'The Swan' look compelling.

Another thing, why are the men stupid for sticking to an alliance? Alliances have done well in Survivor. The women are voting the same way, and it's not like the men are on a tremendous losing streak. They've lost one more challenge than the women.

It's kinda funny that it's going to be the old guys versus the old girls when they merge....

The only good news for CBS is that this season of Survivor isn't on after Friends, or the show would be totally destroyed in the ratings by now. I'm sure Mark Burnett was having a coronary watching this season be filmed. Yuck!

Well the men get just a little more worthless and annoying. But atleast Julie lived to see another day. I'm also really starting to like Ami too. I'm rooting for those two and John K.

Liza is one really annoying bitch. Lisa does the same thing to her that Liza did when she flipped on Dolly, and then she has the nerve to say that she's "repulsed" by Lisa??? But SHE'S excused because she kept apologizing for it? God, Liza is coming close to being my most hated contestant ever.

Strong agreement on the suckage factor for this season. It's gotten to the point where I just FF to the challenges and tribal council.

Ok, so my first thought when I heard that was to post it here the same way you did. No comments, just the quote.

I pretty much only tune in to see that light blue bikini top that Ami wears. She appears to be one of the smarter women in her tribe.

The men are pathetic. Feel badly for John, he's so outnumbered at the moment (he even voted to boot Brady to try to maintain some form of unity with the other non-jocks).
