I got duped!

I saw this commercial for a new reality show called "Tiny House" where the contenstants have to live in this tiny house where everything is small....the ceilings are low, the beds are small, etc.

I got all excited about it. It looked great. I was definitely going to watch the show.

But it was just a Geico commercial!

I want to watch Tiny House :(

Me too! The tiny bed was great! I was greatly upset when it was revealed to be a Geico commercial. :(

you aren;t the only one... i was thinking of things they could have the people do... like after living in the tiny house for 6 months.. they could send them on a vacation.. to a giant house

Birrman54 10-05-04 08:15 AM

I saw it and thought it might be funny also.

Damn you Geico! Damn you all to hell!

Fox, are you listening?

mthiel 10-05-04 09:48 AM

It really had the look and feel of a Fox reality show. I was expecting the announcer to say "Coming Fox Fall!"

Gil Jawetz 10-05-04 09:54 AM

It's so true. We were watching commercials for real bad shows and I turned the GF and said "I wanna watch Tiny House!" And she knew what I meant and totally agreed.

magi 10-05-04 10:12 AM

Tiny House sounds awesome!

They need to make it oompa loompa size! And have them live with an oompa loompa family! Now that would be a show! :)

redinger 10-05-04 11:22 AM

I had no interest in watching it. But, I was duped as well. I did watch the "preview" with some interest, amazed at what they were doing.

GuessWho 10-05-04 11:50 AM

I may have been duped, lied to, and beaten by oompa-loomas... but the good news is that I could save 15% by switching!

Jadzia 10-05-04 12:03 PM

They could do a tie-in with "The Littlest Groom".

riley_dude 10-05-04 01:07 PM

They would really have sore backs. They might need a chiropractor.

boredsilly 10-05-04 02:21 PM

Yeah, I was duped as well, especially since I saw the commercial while watching another reality show (survivor).

auto 10-05-04 04:38 PM

MUST HAVE TINY HOUSE!!!

DJLinus 10-06-04 01:29 PM

I just saw this for the first time - hilarious!

ChrisHicks 10-06-04 01:48 PM

is it just me, or do the mockery reality shows look more appealing than the ones that actually come out?

renaldow 10-06-04 01:51 PM

I fell for the commercial too

RoyalTea 10-06-04 02:34 PM

I'd love to see a "temptation island" rip off.

but, instead of sexy contestants, they'd all be morbidly obese. and instead of other sexy people, they'd be tempted by fatty foods.

Trigger 10-06-04 03:33 PM

I've seen it dozens of times for several weeks and I still get duped... wishful thinking I guess. "Tiny House" comes up in conversation with my friends on an almost daily basis.

You know, two networks stole the idea for "Trading Spouses/Wifeswap" from a Dave Chappelle sketch... it's possible we could see Tiny House come to tv. One can only hope.

ruddiger_718 10-07-04 12:24 AM

I've only got to see that commercial once, alone, and want to watch it with someone, to see if they'll get confused too.
