Sweet, Affleck rules
I know a lot of people don't like his acting and movies, but you gotta admit he can be a pretty funny guy, especially when he makes fun of himself. His bit with Gigli on SNL last year was hilarious

I'm sorry but they could have done a lot better than Affleck, IMO. He's one of the worst. His political involvement is just ridiculous.

As for his political involvment, why is it that all democratic actors who even express their political opinions are labeled as idiot hollywood liberals, but republican actors are all encouraged to be as vocal as they possibly can be, and become 2-term presidents (Reagan), leaders of the biggest republican lobbying group, the NRA (Heston), or help remove and replace fairly elected democratic governors (Arnold) ?

Funniest pretty boy leading men:
1. Alec Baldwin
2. Ben Affleck
3. David Duchovny
At least from what I've seen on talk shows and such, they are the first ones that come to mind. They're always a good interview and have no problem poking fun at themselves. I'll have to remember to watch this one.

Affleck rocks as host, what are you naysayers talking about??? As soon as he started busting out those T-shirts last time he hosted, I was hooked....he's a terrific host! How can you not enjoy someone who is so willing to make fun of himself?

Affleck will be a good host, but he was just on this past March. Why do we get the same people over and over? If I ever again see fucking John Goodman as host, I'm going to scream.

I like Affleck and think he's a funny guy, even though I don't agree with his politics. I agree he was on too recently, but SNL always does that. Steve Martin hosted so many times the first few years that most people think he was a cast member and John Goodman has averaged a show a year for the last dozen years or so.

Gigli and Top O' The Mornin' sketches from last season were personal favorite Affleck highlights for me. Fred Armisen (sp?) had Ben going during the Gigli sketch. Still have it in my DVR...

But, as has been mentioned earlier in the thread. Affleck was the bomb in Phantoms.
(Why is it we can never talk about Benny without mentioning that line?)

Sorry, Affleck wasn't in Phantom. Perhaps you are thinking of Billy Zane in The Phantom? Yeah, he was good.

Any predictions on skits?
Bush/Kerry debate
Dan Rather mess
Ken Jennings' win streak on Jeopardy
Britney Spears (easy target)
Debbie Downer? It was probably the most talked about skit from last season.
Oprah's car giveaway - A similar skit was done when Megan Mullally hosted, but SNL recycles skits endlessly.
Martha Stewart on the way to jail
