This season, CBS has dropped the "Navy" from the old title of "Navy NCIS" from last season, and my ReplayTV did not pick up the shortened title of just "NCIS". So there's my warning for y'all.

I like this show's chemistry, and the cases each week are interesting enough. Let's hope they can sustain both and bring something new for this season.

The cast does have great all-around chemistry, particularly Sasha Alexander and Michael Weatherly - they play off of each other perfectly.

Thanks for the heads up! I would of missed it. Glad they dropped the extra 'Navy', never made much sense.

makes sense, since I'm 99% sure NCIS stands for Naval Criminal Investigative Service
doesn't make sense to have Navy at the beginning of that
pretty good episode

Man, this cast is a fast, tight, funny ensemble and the season premiere hit on all cylinders tonight. I was into it for the entire episode. The humor is just deftly done, and within context of the procedural aspect of the job. Glad to see McGee join the cast (of course, that was given away when he was added to the opening credit montage).

Glad to have this show back on the air. The little girl (I remember her from "Signs") was really good, and did a lot to help NCIS break the case.

That was the same little girl from SVU last week right? I LOVE HER. Didn't know she also played Bo from Signs.

Audrey from Dawson's Creek and Logan from Dark Angel are here too? Damn, I gotta start watching this show. That was a good premiere.

Sasha Alexander played Pacey's older sister, Gretchen, which was not Audrey (Busy Phillips).

McGee is so lucky, getting that peek, but paying for it later as he rolled off the roof.

McGee is going to be to NCIS what Marshall is to Alias.....I like his role......

Of course, he did get that additional look later and I am surprised he never got to answer the Thong/Panty question.........

Late reply here, since i just watched my recorded show.

Good episode, except one thing bothered me: Why would the father hire a kidnapper who had something against him (and could potentially harm his family)? Doesn't make sense to me.

Maybe that was the plan, for the kidnapper to off the wife and kid, so he'd be fancy free.

The father said "nobody was supposed to get hurt" at the end.. which, of course, is what he WOULD say to authorities. But even the kidnapper, midway thru the episode, said something to the effect of "nobody's supposed to get hurt, but you're (the wife) going to die anyways"
