Name this show, part 2
 

Ok, seeing the other thread made me think of a show i've been trying to remember.

I can't remember when, but I'm guessing it aired in the 80s or early 90s. I can only remember one thing from the show which is probably specific to just this one episode. It was about a guy who had an Asian partner/mentor (like a "Mr. Miyagi" or something) who knew how to pretend he was dead by going into a deep meditation to the point where he could be considered legally dead because of his extreme relaxed state. I think it was a martial arts type show but can't be certain.

I want to say the name of the show had the word "Midnight" in it, like "Midnight caller" but I don't think it was that show.

Does this make sense to anybody, or did I just dream this show?
