woohoo! We just got HBO for free through New Year's so this is great news as it's almost the only thing worth watching (on HBO). Thanks for the update

I've been thinking that the "first four seasons" is a mis-print, cause what could the reason be for not airing the fifth?

also, these are the full frame/pan and scan versions of the show. when it comes time (sometime early 05), hbo will re air all of the sopranos episodes leading up to the 6th and final season.

They may be holding back to run the fifth season as a run-up to the sixth season - whenever that may be.

Man, i've been checking my TIVO about three tims a week to see if they are going to rerun Season 5. So i guess the point is i may have to wait another few months to finally see it.
I know this question is technically in the wrong forum but have they even hinted at when S5 dVd may be released.

maybe dec of 2005. season 6 starts sometime early 2006.

also, don't listen to the season 5 bashers since 5 was a great season.

Season 5 was the first season I've watched and I enjoyed it.

This 'catch up' fest is exactly what I need to get the back story and such. Glad they're doing it!

That sucks about the P&S broadcasts. I guess I'll just wait until HBO reruns them next year so I can at least watch them in hi-def.

Thanks for the headsup. I recently got HBO and I have never bought these, too much $$ for a blind buy, but now I can catch up on this as well as Oz. Now if they would just show the first half of Deadwood and get the first season of The Wire out I would be happy. Any idea if they are going to rebroadcast Six Feet Under? I have tried to watch it, but it too far along for me to get it.
