A couple of guest star roles for November Sweeps!

http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve...492|1|,00.html

Spoiler:
Margulies, Cavanagh Back in the Hospital for 'Scrubs'
(Tuesday, September 07 01:48 PM)

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Former "ER" star Julianna Margulies will check into a different hospital for a November sweeps guest role on "Scrubs."

Tom Cavanagh ("Ed") will also appear on the show, reprising his role as J.D.'s (Zach Braff) older brother for two episodes scheduled for October.

Margulies, a six-time Emmy nominee for playing nurse Carol Hathaway on "ER" (she won the award for best supporting actress in a drama in 1995), will play a malpractice lawyer who catches J.D.'s eye. Creator Bill Lawrence approached her after finding out Margulies likes the show.

"When I heard that Julianna was a fan of 'Scrubs,' I jumped at the chance to get her on board for a couple of episodes," Lawrence says. "Her character is going to be a giant thorn in everyone's side."
Margulies most recently starred in the TNT miniseries "The Grid." Her other credits include "Ghost Ship" and the CBS movie "Hitler: The Rise of Evil."

Cavanagh's character, Dan Dorian, will return to the show with news for J.D. that their father has died (John Ritter, who died last year, played J.D.'s dad in two guest appearances). "Tom and Zach have this amazing rapport with each other and that adds a certain realness to the show," Lawrence says. "I was thrilled that he agreed to return to this role."

"He either has a lightbulb up his butt or his colon had a great idea"

Lackluster return of The Todd and still no Ted.

The scene where they had all the Dr's come in to look at the X-Ray was good though

I just caught this show for the first time tonight. I had never seen it before, and after seeing Garden State decided to check it out. This show was hilarious! I have a feeling there is a bunch of inside joke stuff or at least running jokes I'm missing out on, but I loved what I saw! I think i'm gonna have to start watching this show now...

is the 1st season coming out on dvd?

Welcome to the party - better late than never!

We are all still awaiting an announcement regarding the release of Season 1 on DVD, but it probably won't happen until they selll the syndication rights - and that usually necessitates a show hitting 100 eps or so.

Oh, I am definitely enjoying Heather Graham's stint on the show.

Does NBC re-air this sometime during the week? I managed to luck into a re-airing of the season premiere preceeded with what I assumed was the season finale from last year, but I'm not sure if they regularly do that. I didn't remember it this week until about 10 p.m. and now I'm regretting it. :(

Good news for you is this was probably one of the weaker episodes.

I would've been more impressed if he had said "STRONG AGREEMENT"

Parphrasing but...

"Doug told me to give a patient 500,000 milligrams of morphine. I thought I should check with you before I killed the man."

Not one of the funniest episodes ... more of a story building one. Definately some good Dr. Cox and Doug moments, though.

I can't believe I missed this. Damn long weekends, screwing up my sense of TV scheduling!

This is one of the only scripted shows I watch now. I may have missed the golden era but it's still the funniest show around.
