Let me just get this out of the way, since it gets asked by someone every Thursday morning:

Q: Who sings that song at the beginning of Rescue Me?

A: The Von Bondies sing "Cmon Cmon"

You're welcome

... practically anywhere, but Amazon has it: Pawn Shoppe Heart

Here's a Windows Media Example.

I know, but I'm just playing it safe.

Do you think we should build a Rescue Me: The FAQ and have it as a sticky?

Yeah, that was pretty cheap (both Tommy going 'postal' on Roger and his goons taking it out on Tommy) but in a way, I think Tommy deserved it and Roger not so much.

Thug: "We're friends of Roger."
Tommy: "What?! You gonna audit me?"

Roger's a ***** if he needs his tools to fight his physical battles. Plus, Tommy's obviously a little nuts - I wouldn't go do a thing like that.

The Sean and Franco encounter in the stairwell was great. Very well done sequence.

Not a whole lot of time spent talking to the cousin this week. Too bad they didn't spend any time w/ his widow.

Chief Riley is a heartless prick.

Thought it was hilarious what Tommy did to the Murphy kid while Colleen was in the hospital. Too funny.

I thought it was a great episode but a bit odd to see the daughter basically fine after the ending of the last episode. Still, overall one of the best shows out there...

Agreed - I was a bit surprised by that as well.

Another solid episode though. Sean and Franco had some good scenes together, as did Tommy and Roger.

I want to see Tommy and his brother pay a little visit to Roger and his pals.

Also Roger was tresspassing and in my state could have been shot for his actions. And WTF is with the BS ***** line of not appreciating getting tossed out of the hospital, that comment alone would have got an assbeating from me.

I really do not like the chief after this episode. Loved his son's comment at the end.

I think that there's something deeper in Roger's background, he kind of reminds me of the boyfriend from the movie "The Lost Boys" (the head of the vampires).

Maybe Roger is a Vampire?

As for the show itself, it is very good. Not as good as The Shield (in my opinion), but better than the other FX shows (like Nip/Tuck).

In fact, Rescue Me is the only show I watch on a regular basis.

I did Not care for the whole Chief gay bashing hearing
and his son being gay to save his ass aspect.
To easy and so much like other broadast tv eps.
This ep was sub par at best.

I expect better or forget it.

Good episode, but not as good as last weeks. I want to see Tommy and his friends beat down Roger and his friends. Or maybe they will have to rescue one of the guys in a future episode, and Tommy will hestitate. I hope it doesn't happen, because that would be way too predictable.

I really could have done without THAT particular Lenny Clarke appearance.

Did not know he was originally offered the chief's role.

Yes, he was. But, he had that show on ABC It's all Relative. Well, shortly after shooting started for Rescue Me, It's all Relative got canned by ABC, so they figured out a way to work Lenny in.

An OK episode. This series seems to be trying to find itself (like the Job). It's getting a little too dramatic for it's own good, IMHO.

Well, after that beat-down Tommy gets, I doubt he'll as magnamimous to his ex-wife Janet's plans to move the kids away. The writing is ironic since if Roger would have just taken his beating, he'd be in a far away place with Janet. Now, that's not going to be an option because Tommy's gonna be pissed for a long time.

Wasn't too crazy about the station chief Jerry getting let off by his own gay son's testimony when it was so far from the truth. Not a likable guy at all, that chief.

Tommy should seek some psychological help because of all the delusions he's having with "dead" victims in his line of work. Now that the crew have seen his delusions in action, it'll be harder to stave off the shrinks.

I'm ambivalent to the new father storyline for Franco.
