Well that sucks, I was really starting to like that show.
Spoiler:
But on a good note, hopefully that provides an opening for Bradley Cooper to return to Alias next season.

Jeraden 08-12-04 08:48 AM

Yeah, that sucks. I really really liked this show.

Deftones 08-12-04 09:16 AM

NOOOOOOOOOOO

Morf 08-12-04 09:33 AM

I guess that is a possibility, but they did a pretty decent job
Spoiler:
writing that character off into "witness protection land". Poor Will Tippin...

ChrisHicks 08-12-04 09:38 AM

maybe FX will pick it up.

Please, keep the Alias discussion out of here. You are spoling some of us that are trying to catch up on DVD.

Well, I have not watched one of these shows yet, but I have them all on tape ready to watch (I was going to watch them during my summer TV lull that seems like it will not happen).

Should I still go ahead? From what I have read, I thought that it seemed like a pretty good show that I would be interested in.

I really enjoyed them. I'd say go for it. What do you have to lose but a few hours of your time?

I actually just watched the whole season over this past weekend, I had no clue that the show was on the bubble. I enjoyed it, and wish it would continue. If I'd known it was being cancelled, though, I'm not sure I would have bothered to watch, just because I have a lot of other stuff I want to do/watch also.

Tough call. Decent show to while away a few hours so it's worth keeping if you have the room, but I wouldn't make it first priority.

Well, when you think about it, all shows will eventually get cancelled, so if you use that as a criteria of whether to watch a show or not, might as well just never watch tv at all. :)

Not all shows are cancelled. Seinfeld and Friends are examples of two shows that were not.

:)

Geofferson 08-12-04 02:56 PM

How many episodes of this show aired?

Static Cling 08-12-04 09:24 PM

Sucks. Hopefully Jeffrey Donovan, the lead, will find more work in the future.

Patman 08-12-04 10:26 PM

I believe 13 episodes were aired. I still have 9-10 episodes on my ReplayTV to watch...

Buck Turgidson 08-12-04 11:58 PM

Weasels. Scummy, blind, money grubbing weasels.

I hope this sort of bottom line worshipping doesn't start infiluencing the "minds" of cable programmers. It's already turned network TV into a seven day celebration of the LCD.

Rogue588 08-13-04 01:59 AM

-ohbfrank- wtf, man. wtf -ohbfrank-

Charlie Goose 08-13-04 06:50 AM

I liked the show, although it was unrelentingly depressing.

I'm sorry - maybe I should have spoiler-ized that sentence, but good lord, you have time to keep current with Touching Evil and not Alias episodes which have been on DVD for almost a year?

Guess who shot JR! Guess what "Rosebud" meant! -rolleyes- How long does something have to be out on video or in the public domain not to be considered a spoiler anymore? In addition, that was hardly a plot point spoiler for Alias considering everything ELSE that happens (not much more so that lisadoris' original comment).

Only the first 2 seasons have been released on DVD. Season 3 hasn't. And who are you to expect me to keep up with the same programs that you do, on a schedule that you set? What if I want to buy the seasons of Alias 5 years from now?

I'm not trying to be a dick. It just irks me when people assume that I have seen everything they have seen. But enough about this. I don't mean to sidetrack from the topic at hand.

Geofferson 08-13-04 11:25 AM

I hope the 13 episodes will still find their way to DVD.

Deftones 08-13-04 11:40 AM

Maggie shot Mr. Burns!

:hscratch: Personally, I think it would be kinda egocentric [and ridiculous] to assume that there'll be a 5 year moratorium on talking about Alias so we can wait until you catch up [to use your example]. And actually, that WarriorPrincess quote you 'ported over from the Spoiler thread was in response to someone spoiling an episode of Buffy that was due to air the following week.
