I'm getting FX!!!!!!!

Finally, after missing two seasons of The Shield, the Orlando Jones talk show and who know what else Comcast is adding FX to my cable line up!!!!!!!!

Will it live up to the hype? Or will I be disappointed?

I can't wait!

If you are disappointed in FX and it's original shows, then you are not a lover of quality television.

Red Dog 08-10-04 09:03 AM

You just need to pray that they re-run the first 3 seasons of The Shield again and the first 2 of Nip/Tuck. I'm sure they'll re-run Rescue Me.

Rypro 525 08-10-04 09:30 AM

you need to rent the first 2 shield seasons and nip tuck, at netflix.

iggystar 08-10-04 10:11 AM

I forgot all about Nip/Tuck!!! But I'm still pysched. I feel better late than never.

FX is great. I haven't really been enjoying "Rescue Me" as much as I hoped, but "The Shield" is the best thing on TV.

Geofferson 08-10-04 11:19 AM

FX is my favorite basic cable channel.

Kinyo 08-10-04 11:26 AM

The only thing I watch on FX is Nip/Tuck. It drives me crazy waiting a week to see a new episode but tonights looks like its going to be great.

I'm still bitter that FX canceled "Lucky."

Lucky wasn't in the league of their 3 current dramas IMO. It was okay; nothing special. Also, the ratings were horrible.

starseed1981 08-10-04 06:50 PM

I lost touch with television in 2000 when I first entered college. Now that I out the thing that compelled me to start watching again was "The Shield". Best thing on TV, bar none IMO.

Gil Jawetz 08-10-04 08:56 PM

I quite like Rescue Me. Solid stuff.

I still miss Personal FX. Watching people's dreams of getting tons of money for an antique being shattered by an appariser was priceless.

I agree with you, but I don't know why you posted here. If you're referring to the Shield, I don't consider it that type of show at all. It's the only cop show I've ever seen that really focuses on long ongoing storylines and on major characters rather than the criminal of the week.

Becoming? :hscratch:

Cop shows have been a mainstay of television since the days of Dragnet in the 1950s.

As for the Shield, it is certainly not your run-of-the-mill cop show.

Tommy Ceez 08-11-04 05:18 PM

The shield is a degenerate criminal tightrope walk suspense show...not a cop show...

Spoiler:
all the urgency comes from getting thier own asses out of trouble...not solving any crime
