FRIDAY, Aug. 6 (HealthDayNews) -- Ty Pennington, the host of the television show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, will host the sixth annual ADHD Experts on Call program on from 8 a.m. to midnight on Aug. 9.
Pennington was diagnosed with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) as a child. During the Experts on Call program, he'll discuss his own experience managing ADHD and answer telephone calls along with some of the top ADHD experts in the United States.
The toll-free telephone hotline, 1-888-ASK-ADHD, provides callers with access to English- and Spanish-speaking experts, including doctors, school nurses, educators and advocates.
There will also be a confidential, one-on-one online forum at www.ADHDExpertsOnCall.com throughout the day.
"I know what it's like to grow up with ADHD and how important it is for parents, caregivers, and patients to have access to accurate information," Pennington said in a prepared statement.
"I'm thrilled to be a part of ADHD Experts on Call. I hope that by working with all of these great people and sharing my and my family's experience, I'll help other kids and families understand that there are people out there ready to help them and that it's possible to live a full, productive life with ADHD," Pennington said.

I think he needs to get his hyper-active self and his crew over to my house give it an extreme makeover before my wife comes home w/ the baby. They should have a couple of weeks to get it done.
Any contractions yet?

The Extreme Makeover team is actually in town right now, working on a house a few miles from me.
I think in order to qualify for an Extreme Makeover, you need to be a single-parent one-armed midget orphan who saves baby whales in your spare time while you're recovering from your war injuries.
(No contractions yet.)

I keep wanting to claim I have ADHD but I my normal look implies that I'm on heavy sedatives all the time. Oh well, I'm very excited about my seven year old son. We might be able to get him diagnosed with it. It's the in thing.
