What Happened to Jillian Barberie on "Good Day Live?"
I watch this show on a pretty consistent basis. But it seems she's been gone for two weeks. And now she's off the introduction/theme.
Did she get fired and if so, why? Thanks.

I am not sure why she left, but I read that she is still on the local show and has said that GDL had a good run for her and it was just time to go or something of that nature.
I do not know why she would want to leave. She gets paid for having fun and sitting down for an hour (only getting up...sometimes...to do the Style File)

Jill's leaving 'Live'
Jillian Barberie is leaving "Good Day Live" (noon/ Ch. 5) — but will continue to co-host the show's local com ponent, "Good Day L.A."
"We felt it was a good time to leave," Barberie said in a statement. "It's been a good run and a fun show." Bar berie's final "Good Day Live" show will air Friday.
Sources say Twentieth Television is developing an other show for Barberi — possibly something along the lines of "The View." She will continue appearing on the "NFL on Fox."

I'm so glad. I like the show, but I was getting so tired of her. Too bad they haven't had better replacement cohosts since she left. It seems like it's been Constance ever since Jillian left and she doesn't add anything to the show.

She definitely was annoying, but at the same time brought that younger perspective to everything. Which is a nice contrast considering Dorothy is married and has a kid and Steve is simply just an much older guy, period.

She must be doing someone high up in the Fox corporation because they throw her on everything. She was on some old game show on FX, she hosts Ex-treme Dating (don't ask me how I know this), that Good Day show and the NFL show...she must have the same kind of connection with the Fox net that Chad Michael Murray has with the WB.

I didn't know she was leaving. 
I love looking at her when she goes over to the weather map with jeans on because she's got sweet onion. 
Sure she's annoying and high strung but that's what makes her cool. She's a talented girl and FOX is smart to keep her with them is some capacity.
Let's hope LAUREN SANCHEZ replaces her because they do need someon hot to take Jill's place.

Anyway, she was married when I first heard of her and started checking her out on Fox 11 years ago. But she got divorced like in the last 3 or 4 years.

all I know is that when I'm at my mom's place visiting and there's cable... that's the only thing on around noon. And i'll give it a watch to see some nice T&A while I eat lunch. I won't be tuning in anymore. wtg fox.

Twentieth Television is expected to announce a big shakeup today on "Good Day Live." Sources say Debbie Matenopoulos and Arthel Neville are joining "GDL" to co-anchor with Steve Edwards. Dorothy Lucey will leave "GDL" but will remain to co-host the local "Good Day L.A." with Edwards and Jillian Barberie, who left "GDL" last June. The show had been using rotating guest hosts ever since.
Matenopoulos was one of the original co-hosts of "The View" before leaving in 1999 and hosting on the TV Guide Channel. She and Neville will begin on "GDL" Aug. 30.

Arthel is related to the Neville Brothers. Can't remember which one is her father. But, she has no personality.
Debbie, on the other hand, is just plain annoying. Not Kathie Lee annoying, but close..
Today on the show, Martin Short filled in for Steve. I forgot how the subject came about, but they made it seem as if Dorothy was being "fired". If you watch the show, you know how hard it is to get ONE conversation going much less FOLLOW one...so I can't be too sure.
We'll see what happens though..
