The Jury 6/8 ***Series Premiere***

Don't forget this premieres tonight at 8PM on FOX.

I'm looking forward to it. I like the premise - viewers see the crime and watch the jury deliberate. Jury rooms can become pretty heated places, so this should make for some interesting TV.

These guys certainly know how to turn out great television dramas: Oz and Homicide are 2 of my all-time favorites so I definitely have to give this a shot.

Unfortunately, the reviews I've seen are far from glowing.

From what I've read: the only actors to be in the show each week will be a couple we see in flashbacks in the courtroom?

I'll be checking it out as well.

With this coming from the Homicide/Oz team, I am very eager to see this.

Having been on a jury, it will be interesting to see the drama behind the decisions.

Isn't "Buffy" alum Adam Busch (Warren) on this, playing a bailiff?

The ads for the the show are really annoying. They are like those stupid TRUTH ads.

(Sad woman holding a sign)
"I helped kill a man"

(Weird looking older guy holding a sign)
"I gave a family $32 million dollars)

(Small Gecko)
"I saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico."

The frequent use of flashbacks by the jurors to the court room proceedings is confusing.

I thought it would have been more like Law and Order. First half , you along with jurors hear the case and the second half you hear different views of the jurors as the reach a verdict..

I'm watching it right now. SNORE. This show is quite boring. And the acting by the guest stars isn't very good.

I lasted about 30 minutes and then skipped to the end to find out the "truth". That's going to be about the extent of my viewing of this show. Looks like that USAToday rating was dead on.

I'm sorry I started this thread. This show was horrible. The condesending "education of the audience" through the jurors repeating judge instructions was unbearable. The plotline was stupid and obvious, and the character interaction was annoying.

I didn't bother to watch the second hour. I went and got a Slurpee instead. Reading the cup was more interesting than this show.

2 more weeks and "see ya".

I taped it but haven't watched it yet. From the sounds of it, I might just fast-forward it tonight.

I'm sure a good show could be done about juries. This isn't it. I thought the second show was marginally better than the first but that sure isn't saying much.

Acting related note to Barry Levinson: stay behind the camera.

Actually, Barry Levinson has been a disappointment behind the camera for at least 5 years now. Nothing he's directed has been all that good either.

I expect Dick Wolf's foray into this subject in L&O: Trial by Jury will be much better.

Helly, Pauly Shore's "Jury Duty" was better than this.

I'd say more like 10+ years but at least he has made good movies so there's a chance he may again.

From the front page: "fox's 'the jury' limps out of the gate, two-episode premiere barely beats upn and the wb"

The two-episode premiere of "The Jury" - 8:00/7:00c (households: 2.8/5, #11; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T9) and 9:00/8:00c (households: 3.0/5, #9; adults 18-49: 1.3, #11) - limped out of the gate giving FOX (households: 2.9/5, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #4) a lackluster fourth place finish in both households and adults 18-49 on the night.

Delete them. The show is, honestly, just watching this jury talk about whether or not the kid should be tried as an adult. Oh no! One juror can't decide! What ever will we do? The episode dragged and felt like more than just an hour. DELETE!
