Meltdown on FX. Any good?

I've got it Tivo'd. Is it worth watching?

mikehunt 06-06-04 10:07 PM

it's not horrible

The shakey cam, poor framing, fast pans and zooms made it look like some 6-year-old had filmed it using Daddy's camcorder. Very unwatchable, I gave up on it by the second commercial break.

"We are using your technology against you... Just like before"

that line alone should tell you how good this film is. if you have the two hours to kill might as well watch it and laugh. I can't wait to pick it up at work at a cheap price just for the suckage factor alone. :p

Yikes. Sounds like this one is due for the trash bin.

I flipped back and forth through it last night, damn it was awful.

Hmmmm. I have it saved on the TiVo, but see it might not be worth watching. Anybody else care to chime in?

It sucked... probably the most predictable movie I have EVER seen...

I don't want to spoil it, but COME ON!!!! "It ends today..." So does FX's ability to make a good movie...

Doesn't say much for that new series coming up, the firefighters .. can't remember the name...

The original movies may suck, but F/X's ability to make a great original series is only bested by HBO (see: The Shield, Nip/ Tuck...)

Remember 10.5? It's kind of like that, only without the entertainment value.

Arnold Vosloo needs to fire his agent.

Watching it right now, at times it will go to a grainy black & white video then back to color. Kind of iritating. The quick pan ins and outs are not as excessive as in 10.5. Also it's way way shorter than 10.5, so thats something good about it. And so far the acting seems better than in 10.5.

And for Stargate SG-1 fans, the actor who plays the commander at SG-1 also stars in Meltdown. The older, bald heavy set guy from Stargate.

So for a made for TV movie I would rate it slightly above average, way better than most of those dreadful made for TV films that the Sci-Fi channel puts out. Now those are just terrible.

it wasn't half as bad as sci-fi's comet disaster movie last night that had dean cain in it
