I Hate Law & Order Marathons

I've been watching Law & Order for the last 7 hours, and there's no end in sight. *sigh* Why are these old episodes so damn good?

Why doesn't Universal just create a Law and Order cable channel.

Law and Order, all day, every day. I'm also talking about the spin-offs such as Special Victims Unit and Criminal Intent. You can even include that reality "spin-off" Crime and Punishment.

Come on, all those episodes combined come out to almost twenty days of solid television. :)

Jill Hennessy?

I know! Once I sit down to watch one, I end up spending hours watching this show. The thing is, there's a lot of episodes that I haven't seen, so there's always a bunch that are new to me.

Same thing happened yesterday with TV Land's "Cheers" marathon. My day (and part of the night) was shot.

Law and Order, all day, every day

Because they already have a channel like that(It's called NBC)

PS: I've been sucked in too:(

MrX 05-31-04 03:29 PM

Red Dog must be away

A Law & Order thread has been open for an hour and a half and he hasn't stopped by tell us how much he loves Elisabeth Rohm;)

lisadoris 05-31-04 04:09 PM

I've resisted the urge by watching The West Wing Marathon on Bravo... Hey I know once you start a L&O marathon there's nowhere to run!

AJP 05-31-04 05:37 PM

Elisabeth Rohm's gotta go. :johnwoo:

There, now it's a L&O thread.

mikehunt 05-31-04 06:24 PM

JAG marathon for me

outcastja 05-31-04 06:30 PM

I'm the lamer watching the Degrassi marathon.

das Monkey 05-31-04 06:35 PM

I can't believe I'm still watching this thing.

DJLinus 05-31-04 08:02 PM

And it's over.

The funny thing is, I should've spent the better part of today studying for the bar exam, concentrating on tomorrow's criminal procedure bar review lecture. I guess there could've been worse things to watch, in that respect.

das Monkey 05-31-04 08:09 PM

Finally. I watched every episode. After a point, it only seemed right to finish it out. It'll be a complete TNT sweep now as I watch the Lakers tear apart the Wolves, ruining an otherwise good day.

MrX 05-31-04 09:19 PM

I watched most of it.

District Attorney Lewin gets on my nerves more then Serena so I skipped those episodes.

USA should be doing an SVU marathon over the summer so we all have that to look forward too:banana:

Red Dog 05-31-04 10:13 PM

My ReplayTV got quite a workout today since I have it set up to record all Law & Order episodes. ;)

Now if there was only a way to set it up so it can only record the Rohmless episodes. :)

MrX 05-31-04 10:18 PM

It's now officially a Law & Order thread

WarriorPrincess 06-01-04 12:03 AM

I got sucked in too. The really sad thing is that I've seen almost every episode (could have missed one or two over the years) - and most of those I've seen at least two or three times. Why? Because every time I'm flipping through the stations (i.e. nothing on my dvr to watch) and the original L&O is on - I watch. And that doesn't count the fact that I watch it and two eps of NYPD Blue (which I've also seen at least twice) on TNT from 10-1 every day. Oh, and often catch it in the evening as well. I do skip the eps I've seen four times, because there are limits. ;)

Ah Memorial Day. I love it.

Good one to start the marathon this year.

Exactly. Look at is as inspiration. You've got TONS of time to study for the Bar, so don't sweat it. You don't really need to kick in until after the 4th of July.

I just got L&O 1994-1995 and have my own marathon going, but then I already passed the Bar, so... ;)

Matthew Chmiel 05-28-07 01:11 PM

There are 393 episodes of Law and Order.
There are 183 episodes of Special Victims Unit.
There are 133 episodes of Criminal Intent.
There are 26 episodes of Crime and Punishment.
There are 13 episodes of Trial By Jury.
You even have that Law and Order spin-off TV-movie with Chris Noth.

That's 750+ hours worth of material that could last for over a month now.

I'm still up for pitching my Law and Order cable channel to Universal. Anyone with me?

[And if they need more material to broadcast, we will pitch them Homicide as well.]

Red Dog 05-28-07 01:13 PM

Don't forget Conviction.

See the post date. :) I wonder how he did.

I like how they start the next episode while the credits for the previous episode are still running!
