Conan's new Lever of Walker Texas Ranger clips

I don't know how long this will last, but he had some lever where he could pull it and a Walker Texas Ranger clip would play. It was friggin hilarious. Anyone else see this and know if it's gonna be a fixture for awhile?

Mopower 05-26-04 08:41 PM

He's been doing it for about a week. But ya it's hilarious.

Deftones 05-26-04 08:55 PM

Actually, it has been about two weeks. One time he had a chain that showed clips from Knight Rider. He was alternating between the two. It was comedy gold. Typically he'll ride something for about 2-3 weeks before they stop doing it. When Michael Bolton made a comment about him a few years ago, the sketches he did as a joke against Bolton lasted a few weeks.

I miss those Bolton sketches. They were great "I'll get you Bolton."

I also miss 60 (the 24 spoof where each episode was one second long). I really was getting into the story and was curious what was going to happen with the Canadian Prime Minister.

I think the Walker lever is pretty funny.

I miss watching while Frankenstein wastes a minute of my time.

Actually, that has been on for over a month. He did it every night for about 3 weeks. Now it's about a 1x a week sketch.

"You sure don't look bad for a man stung by scorpions."

I love the random pulling of the lever, where he's in mid-sentance, quickly swirls around and pulls the lever . My second favorite time would be when... oh heck... I don't remember the guest, but he asked about the lever, and Conan pulled it up off the floor and let the guest pull the lever . That Walker, Texas Ranger lever rocks!

Jackskeleton 05-27-04 12:41 AM

They already played the "you sure don't look bad for a man stung by scorpions" clip before. damn I watch the show to much to notice that..

Seantn 05-27-04 12:49 AM

That plane explosion was pure genious!

And Walker tasting the dirt, and exclaiming that ,"A plane crashed here!"

Or "You're boring me.....And you do NOT want to see me bored...."

Or *dum dum dum....* "IT'S HIM!!!!"

SuprVgeta 05-27-04 01:57 AM

Yeah I caught the Walker Texas Ranger lever a few nights back and could not stop laughing. I use to watch that show a lot too, but yeah the acting in a lot of parts was downright funny, and those clips showed it. I liked the one where he calls the horse over to untie him as he's tied up

I loved tonight's clip. "Hey Walker, want some water?"

Conan is the King of Late Night.

Seantn 05-27-04 04:59 AM

I loved the clip of the guys saying "Hey there is he is!" and you just see Walker running for his life through the desert.

coladar 05-27-04 06:49 AM

Thanks for posting this. I normally don't watch Conan all that frequently, but this skit is hilarious. As someone who watched Walker for it's entire run, it's makes it even funnier to see what a ridiculous show it really was.

That clip of Walker running like the wind was too funny in and of itself, but then combine it with the persona displayed in the clip of Walker beating someone for water... Here's this badass in one scene, who ends up running away like a little girl in the next. Man, I mourn the Saturday nights I spent watching this show...

Next I think they should have a "random Steven Seagal moment of wisdom". They could show some scene from one of his films where he says something faux-philosophical in his whispery (i think it's supposed to be threatening) voice before kicking a guys ass. Or maybe something with Stallone. I love those guys, but some of the dialogue in their films is cringe-worthy.

I wish they would have sent Triumph to this year's American Idols finale. That would have been hilarious (to Fantasia: "i love your voice, and what a unique style you have...has anyone told you that you resemble Chris Tucker?")

This is pretty funny. I was looking around on the web earlier today to see if, by some really rare chance, there were any episodes of 60 still on the NBC website. I couldn't find any there, but I did find an entire website devoted to 60. Check it out, it's pretty funny:

I love the Walker, Texas Ranger lever. Great, great stuff. I never knew Walker was so hilarious. Maybe it's just the context that Conan's putting it in that helps it along.

Da Thrilla 05-28-04 10:28 PM

pure comedy

Kal Varnsen 07-24-04 01:08 AM

The Lever has been back the past couple of days!

Da Thrilla 07-24-04 02:53 PM

Yes the lever is back

It should stay for good! :D
