i was watching letterman and as avril has performed about a half a verse, the local cbs affiliate cut to commercial for the entire performance, and then cut back to dave when he was at his chair talking about tomorrow nights show. boy i was pissed. Now, before you all bash about my music tastes, let me say this, if the musical act was... say the cure or the foo fighters, and they were going to perform a brand new song that had never been heard before (she started the new single), and they went to commercial and didn't air it, you all would be up in arms and complain about that.

Hey, everyone's entitled to their own taste in music. Anyone who thinks their opinion is the 'definitive' opinion is a moron.

I didn't see the show, but last night when I passed by the Late Show, Avril was in the middle of her performance, so i'm guessing they showed the entire thing here.

I watched the entire show and they didn't cut any of it here, so it must have been a problem where you live.

I don't particularly care for her music, but I can't imagine the CBS affiliate doing anything like that on purpose. I'm almost certain that the person running the board at the station that night, either hit the wrong button and didn't notice for a few minutes, or they misread the break times, and inputed the incorrect time to run one of their local breaks.

Best thing you can do? Call and complain. If they get enough complaints about something, management will eventually listen.
