Er, Friends was always kinda a "chick" show...even from the very beginning.

As a FRIENDS fan,

I just re-watched the finale, and I must say, some of it is rather LAME....

How many times have they raced to the airport to catch someone to tell them that they loved them?

And the plot device of having Ross' answering machine play an entire dialogue between a stewardess and Rachel is VERY contrived. The fact that it was used to create suspense is just plain sloppy on the writer's part. Shame on you Marta Kauffman!!


Man, the writing of FRIENDS went downhill.....SURELY there can't be any arguments there!

Just one other time that I can think of, when Rachel raced to the airport at the end of Season 1. It's not like they did it all the time, just twice in 10 seasons. I thought this was a nice way of bringing it full circle; first Rachel raced to the airport to catch Ross, and this time, Ross raced to the airport to catch Rachel.

I thought Rachel would be waiting in Ross's apartment when he got there, so the way they did it (even the answering machine message) was a nice surprise, IMHO.

I never really watched friends because the episodes that I saw usually consisted of jokes that I could see coming about a mile away.

That and I'm pretty sure Ross has a vagina.
