Is May Sweeps month getting shorter?
 

It seems most season finales have occurred or will occur within the next 2 weeks, which leaves almost 2 weeks of May left.

Sweeps run four weeks, but they start in late April. This sweeps month seems especially short, since I think it ends on Tuesday May 18, or Wednesday May 19th, but I'm pretty sure it started four weeks prior to that. You can bet that NBC wouldn't air the penultimate two episodes of Friends in April if they didn't count towards their sweeps numbers.

According to http://www.nielsenmedia.com/sweeps.html May sweeps runs from April 29th to May 26th this year.

I'm actually a little grateful for all the shows winding up earlier in May because I've got a backlog of other stuff to read/watch.

yeah, it seems weird that friends will have its series finale this week. Survivor will have it this Sunday. OC will have it this week. Scrubs will be this Tuesday. Frasier will be next week. What are they going to show between May 16-May 26? A bunch of repeats?

Were their planning off by 1 week, they have a lot of TBA in the last two weeks. Or are they are moving their schedules around to avoid the American Idol finales?
