Can anyone fill me in as to why Tonys crew hangs around the construction site soaking up the sun?

thanks

I thought last nights episode was good. One things for sure Tony's going to get buried under the weight of all the lies and other stuff in his life.

You got Tony and what really happened the night of the hijacking.

You got Tony lying to Johnny Sack.

Chris is pissed at Tony because of what happened with Adrianna and now Tony B gets that casino gig and it looks like she's going to flip on Tony B to "help" Chris.

Tony S is screwed!

Liked the song at the end over the credits.
I enjoyed Christopher's version of it better in an earlier episode:

Spoiler:
If I were a carpenter, and you were a douche bag...

I would guess that they need a source of legit funds. This way they get a job on paper, show their face and have a legit source of income in order to file a tax return. The real money comes in cash.

So that's what was happening, couldn't quite tell. Glad I didn't know.
Well, it was either that or Vito was taking a nap in his lap.

LOL... taking a nap....

Man.... that really sucks that Vito sucks... LOL.....

..."nap in his lap"..... is that anything like "soap up the dope"? ....

Good episode, with tensions building in several situations, so that you always felt you were on the edge of some violence.

No way that Vito touches Finn now that he's engaged to Meadow. Don't think Tony would look too kindly on Vito killing his daughter's fiancee.

In fact, I'm pretty sure that's the whole reason he proposed to Meadow in the first place.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. He's gonna marry her for protection.

Vito was a suprise. Not because he's gay/bi, I'm just shocked he could bend down that far being that fat.

What does everyone think he invited Finn to the game? I think it was to buy his silence.

Anyone else think Chris is gonna find out about Tony B. and rat him to Johnny Sacs? I think his jealousy will make him do it.

Red Dog 05-03-04 09:12 AM

Who was the babe at the construction site? If I was Finn, after Meadow started bitching about that, I would have said eff it and gone for the construction babe.

Then again, the whole protection angle makes sense.

It sure did seem like the main reason Finn proposed was to be able to LIVE. I really can't see ANOTHER of Meadow's boyfriends getting whacked, but who knows. (Although he should for saying, "Besides, I wouldn't want to take a job a minority could have.")

Overall a strong episode, I thought...

i think vito knew that finn saw somethin, and to make him keep his mouth shut, he invited him to the game.

I thought you could take the last twenty mins. of this episode and through it all right in a trash can labled BORING.

The Meadow & Finn scene went on waaaayyy tooooo long and who the hell cares?!?

Tony in Dr. Melfi's office? Again, way too long and always the most boring aspect of any Sopranos episode IMO. I much prefered the episodes when she was out of the picture entirely.

Thank gawd Deadwood is on afterward cause it kept me from falling asleep.

I think they are showing that the kids are going to turn out like the parents. A.J. continues to become more like Tony and now Meadow is becoming a major bitch just like her mother. I'd like to see A.J. get involved sort of like Christopher was in the first seaon.

My take was a little different. I think he was hitting on Finn and preparing to lock him into being his bitch. Finn had made the mistake of already showing fear and admitting he was afraid to say the wrong thing. Vito made the comment to him about him sounding "like a racehorse" taking a leak.

Can you imagine what the actor who plays Vito was thinking when he got the script for that week?

Plus the more I think about it the whole scene seemed a bit odd. Being gay would not be viewed favorably. I realize Finn showed up early but it could have been someone else too. I just can't imagine Vito being that careless to blow some security guard and risk getting discovered like that since if the wrong people found out it would most likely mean death.

THE SUITCASE, THE SUITCASE, THE SUITCASE!!!

went on waaaaaaaay too long.. (not that i mind Meadow finally getting some screen time, but shut up.)

Who screwed up the tombstone? They were bitching about JC (carmine?), but it was Soprano who apologized.

When Meadow told Finn about losing an old boyfriend to violence -- drug dealers -- "unidentified black males" -- was that a deliberate lie, or does she believe it.

I haven't seen the third season in a while, but wasn't it implied that she knew Jackie Jr. was, well, "taken care of."

I thought her acting out (after J-jr.'s) funeral and in the start of season 4 was more out of feeling like her dad should have done more to protect him.

I don't think she has any reason to believe that Tony or anyone else had him killed because she never knew about the poker game hold-up. She was aware of his drug use, etc.

One of Tony's underlings. Silvio said they should pick up the tombstone and someone sitting near Paulie said they knew a guy. Tony apologized because it was his crew's gesture and it looked more like an insult.

I wanted to strangle Meadow - what an unbelievably annoying shrew!

I wonder if they meant for her to sound just like her grandmother?

The whole "Peeps" headstone mix-up had me rolling on the floor in laughter. Perhaps because I know some people ONLY by their nicknames...

There's a guy I know that we call "Carmine Cacazote"... but that's his nickname, not his legal name. (And his first name isn't Carmine) But it's the only name I know. If I had to get a headstone for him, that would be the name that I'd put on it. :D

slop101 05-03-04 10:15 AM

And what makes all you guys think they'll ever address the Vito/Finn thing ever againg - just like every other thing, it's dropped, it's over. The scene with Vito going to the game by himself was the closer to that thread. What in the show's history makes you think that they'll make something out of this small thread - it was just a device used to get these two lunkheads engaged.

Nefarious 05-03-04 10:16 AM

Yeah and it wasn't like PEEPS was small or anything. It stuck out like a big, sore thumb. Makes me think of the marshmallow easter treats.
