Drew, what a tool that kid is.
"I have been in this business for 15 years." And he's 20 years old?
And Rocco is just a childish baby who knows nothing about business. I am totally on Jeffrey's side in their dispute.

During that whole "everyone's asking: Where's Jeffrey" /"you NEVER gave me a monthly financial statement" imbroglio, Rocco SO reminded me of Martin Short's sleazy attorny Nathan Thurm: no matter what you said to him, he'd deny it, turn it around, twist it, and throw it right back at you. Except what he threw back was NEVER relevant or on point........

I'm so glad that intern kid is gone. He was so obnoxious. Comparing himself to Tiger Woods. Jeffrey told to just observe and he's running around like he owns the place.

Drew was so bad they didn't need clever editing to make him look like a tool.
I didn't think it was possible, but the audio dubbing is even worse this season than last. A few times it sounded more like a dramatic reading (a bad one) than actual dialog.

At first, I was really sympathetic to Rocco and mad at Jeffrey for all of the "corporate takeover" tactics, having outsiders "observing". But as the hour went on and you see that Rocco is not there as he should, he has too much going on outside the restaurant. You begin to see Jeffrey is not the villian, he's protecting his investment. The talk between the two was so dramatic, you could see how Rocco was double talking and being so frustrating!
It was so wonderful to see Jeffrey fire the kid, he got so full of himself and for someone who is supposed to be business savvy has very little common sense. He was there to observe not to antagonize.

Will Drew ever find a job again after his 2-episode stint on "The Restaurant"? What a self-righteous idiot. For now, being young and dumb is one thing, but if he becomes old and stupid, he has no one else to blame but himself.
How many frikkin' book signings does Rocco do a week?
I still think Rocco sounds like Seymour Butts on "Family Business", and when he mentioned "600 money shots" (food porn) in last week's episode, the vocal similarities got even closer.

Drew was like the child you leave alone for the first time (kinda like Macauley in Home Alone): OK, honey, we're leaving you by yourself. Just watch TV and don't touch anything. (Door Slams) Drew runs around answers the phone, jerks a few drinks, hits on some Administative Assistants, flips off the boss..........

Drew was already bugging me in last week's show. I hated how he was sitting in on that dinner meeting and was trying to act all "involved"-- nodding his head at what the big wigs were saying as if he understood everything and looking at the numbers in disbelief like he was some expert. I kept saying "He is a freaking intern!" All I could think of was Kevin Spacey's character in "Swimming with Sharks" yelling at him "SHUT UP! LISTEN! LEARN!"
When I was an intern, I did what I was told, watched a lot and asked questions about things I did not understand. I ended up getting hired in after 6 months. The people who acted like Drew got shown the door pretty quick.
I have to laugh at getting fired from an internship. I assume he wasn't paid, right?

Moley, I mean Drew was annoying. I loved it when they told him that he was too young to serve drinks and then they panned to the face of the lady who asked for the drink.

And I agree that Rocco has no idea how to run a restauant and I am completely on Jeffrey's side in this matter.

I understand that Rocco needs to be there, but I really don't think he needs to be there every day. Once or twice a week, show up and do his thing. If he comes up with a menu and shows Tony or whoever else how to do it, then that's good. I don't go to Wolfgang Puck's expecting to see him, I expect to eat some of his food.
Rocco is a charmer, and a good one too. Give a weekly pep talk to the staff, come around two/three days a week for a couple of hours and charm, and your done.
I see both of these guys points. Should be interesting.
Jeff Probst used to have the worse sounding dub over job, then came Donald Trump. Trumps reading cue cards and reading dub overs was awful. But I think the Restaurant has taken the cake for worst dub-over job by an entire cast. I don't remember season 1 being this bad.

Of course they both knew the cameras were on them, particularly in that scene, and I wonder if this isn't all fake to get higher ratings and more publicity for the restaurant.

I was also thinking some of this drama with the "take-over" is a bit staged. Jeffrey seems just too accomodating to fixing the problem than he needs to be. Let's face it, it's his money and he can throw his weight around whenever he feels like it. I also agree that Rocco doesn't need to be at the restaurant everyday. I cannot imagine he even originally agreed to be there all the time since he already had another restaurant, however I missed a lot of season 1.
Great show! I couldn't believe how quickly Drew got on my nerves...and how quickly Jeffrey fired him!
