Steve or Jefferson?
 

A conversation about Married With Children on the DVD board begged this question.

Married with Children took an interesting turn when David Garrison left the show and brought the introduction of Ted McGinley. It also allowed for Marcy to become much more "herself" for lack of a better term in the show.

Personally, the Steve seasons are my favs and much prefer his character versus that of Jefferson, but I wanted to see what the general consensus is on this board.

So, much like Elvis or Beatles, are you a Steve or Jefferson fan?

Steve was a nerd. Jefferson was far better. It was much more funny to watch Jefferson go against everything that Marcy did, laugh at Al's jokes about Marcy, and go out with Al, rather than Steve who was a pushover and did everything Marcy said.

I prefer the Steve episodes simply because there was more of a schism between the Bundy and Rhodes families. Especially in the early eps, and it got better when Al's influence finally started to corrupt Steve, making Marcy hate Al even more. I like Jefferson, but he was too much like another Al. It didn't add as much to the mix for me.

I prefer Jefferson over Steve....but I like them both though

It was on of those situations where it ended up that both worked equally well for the time they were on.

I like Diane with Sam on Cheers for a while and found I liked the Rebecca character too. Now I like seeing reruns of both, they balance each other out.

The same goes with Steve and Jefferson. I like watching them both now.

I voted for Jefferson just because he had better hair,

I like them both but Jefferson is my favorite of the two. The scenes where Al used to joke about Marcy and Jefferson would join in were great.

I think he made Marcy a better character too.

Steve grated on me... Jefferson was alot better. I like the comrade-re between Jefferson and Al.

Tough call.. very tough call.

I voted Jefferson because the stuff where Al and Marcy bonded over how worthless their spouses were was pretty funny, among other Jefferson things.
