Kwame's assessment of Omarosa: She's a space cadet. Congrats Bill, I'm ready to step in to your cigar business. |
Originally posted by Nefarious I was pleased to see the Donald ask Kwame why he didn't fire Omarosa. |
I knew Kwame was gone when Trump asked him where he would be in comparison to Bill 30 years from now and he said neck and neck.
I also knew he was gone when Trump told him that he was scared for him because of what he had given up. I'm in Chicago...and they are interviewing Trump and he says he was leaning toward Bill a little bit because he didn't like Kwame's selection of Omarosa. Bill will be a HUGE celebrity in Chicago...but I would have chosen LA in those 3 minutes. But now that I've thought about it: Chicago IS the place to be. If he doesn't work out with the Trump, he'll be able to work anywhere he wants here. Kwame too will get a lot of strong job offers. |
LOL when Ereka called Omarosa a liar sitting right next to her.
|
I wouldn't be suprised if we see Troy, Sam or some of the other standouts from this season in some kind of roll for the Apprentice Season 2.
Watching Stern right now and he is giving Ereka a lie-detector test about ever refering to a black person as, well you know. She passed. Damn that scandalous Omarosa and Oprah. Katrina is looking hot... |
Ereka passed the lie detector test questions re: Ponderosa and racism with flying colors on Howard Stern (which airs tonight on E!). Funny stuff.

Oh and Trump's girl, Melania was looking fine tonight.

Here are a couple things that bothered me a little and I'm curious for people's input here:
1) Trump's one reason for firing Kwame--he is laid back. He said workers under Kwame might feel uneasy working with a boss like that. Honestly, I think many people would WANT a boss like that. You don't want a boss fretting all the time. And you don't want one jumping down your throat due to mistakes. I liked how, even if the circumstance was dire, he was calm, cool and collected. That's leadership right there, but people seem to overlook that for the flashy "you go here, you do this, and you better have this done!" time of leadership. If you watch NFL Football, think of it this way. There are different kinds of leaders/coaches. Guys like Tom Coughlin who yell at their players and berate them to increase their level of play. There are other coaches, like the laid back Tony Dungy, who never get flustered or upset. Always calm and relaxed. And he's a wining coach in the league. 2) Also, Trump didn't like Kwame picking Omarosa for his team. This is the thing--Kwame would have had to pick her by default because we know Bill wasn't picking her. Could he have fired her? I suppose so if he knew it was allowed. Then again, you could flip it and say he did a decent enough job with ALL the screw-ups that Omarosa caused him, and the Jessica Simpson show still went off without a hitch. Bill didn't have to deal with those kind of problems. Kwame just had a lesser cast around him. Sure, he picked them, but in real life, some people around you will not be up to snuff. It's how you deal with it that proves your leadership skills and I thought overall he did well. I'm not saying Kwame should have won. To be honest, I don't think either of them were THAT great to have made it into the top 2 out of 215,000. But I think Kwame got a raw deal and the "reasons" for not picking him by Trump are flawed. |

I also would rather have the Kwame style leader than Bill (at least from what was displayed in the final competition). Kwame was always unflappable, and smoothed over a bunch of problems. I'm sure Bill will do a great job, though. birrman54 |
I don't know if this has been posted around here yet, but from the current issue of FHM (slightly mature):

I thought it was funny that Sam offered $250 large to work for the Donald.

I think Trump fired Kwame because he was too nice to his 'employees'. He should've kick Omarosa to the sideline when she mess up. He didn't. So Trump didn't like how he cuddle up to people who make mistakes.

There were times that he was agitated, but he never took it out on anyone and never got flustered (like Tony Dungy). As an employee, I would have to be more aware to pay close attention to how and why he's frustrated and figure out how react positively to improve performance to a boss that's not satisfied. |
I just can't imagine how the hell Omarosa became a political analyst
she must have scared ppl into submission with her mug |

As far as not wanting a boss to jump down my throat? Maybe if I was really incompetent. What would really frost my hide would be to have the boss NOT jump down my coworker's throat if she totally screwed up and then lied to him. I don't want to be treated the same as the total screw up. |

so i guess the mishaps weren't really a setup? omarasa really did lie on her own? someone really put that marquis sign in the dumpster by accident? i don't know... i don't really trust reality tv.
easily i could tell that it was going to be bill who was going to win. i wonder why bill got to pick first, if i was kwame i would of been, hey why does he get to pick first? i would of wanted to pick second and third at least. |
Bill deserved it more because of Kwame's inabilty to BE the boss than anything Bill did for himself. Basically, Kwame shot himself in the foot.
Did anyone notice during the Simpson concert that Kwame kept looking to Donald as if to see somekind of reaction. This was my first indication that Kwame was really going to lose. I can't believe that Trump was actually listening to Jessica sing. |

I know that if an event is being handled by someone else, unless you are a complete freak about having your own car, you would arrange for their car to pick you up. -And the fact that Bill's team had no where to sort the gift bags? They've certainly done golf tournaments before, wouldn't they have a place for them to organize that stuff? I don't know, but some of the "problems" seemed a bit too "planned" to me. It just seemed that they might have manufactured some of that stuff to keep things interesting. |
I just love Television Without Pity's name for Omarosa: Assorama.
I agree that the problems seemed pre-planned. Losing Jessica Simpson? Come on. |
couple of comments
1) Burnett did a real good job producing the show. It didn't drag out like survivor. 2) Trump needs to stop reading cue cards... i know he isn't an actor but still 3) was the briefcase with Sam for real? |
I think Kwame should beat the hell out of Omarosa for costing him the job. What a b!tch.........
As for katrina..... mmmmm yummy. Heidi...... :yack: |
The Donald was on the Today Show this morning, and he cited Kwame's non-dealing with the Omarosa issue had a major contributing factor to picking Bill over Kwame.
I think we have a new word: Kwame-tose (mananging while ignoring major bouts of employee incompetence) |
I can't wait to see Wilbon's reaction on PTI to the Man keeping the brutha down once again in the world of reality television.

Watching Troy treating Jessica Simpson's fans like cattle was pretty funny (especially when they cut to Heidi's reaction to it while it was happening).

Originally posted by Red Dog I can't wait to see Wilbon's reaction on PTI to the Man keeping the brutha down once again in the world of reality television. I was pretty surprised that Trump asked Kwame why he didn't fire Ponderosa. Shouldn't the answer be obvious? "I can't fire 33% of my staff at once!" Geez, if she had been one of like 30 staffers though, I'd have sent her packing in a heartbeat. Bill is definitely a big star here now, and I'm anxious to see that new tower going up along the lakefront. |
Did the contestants get paid for re-appearing after they were fired?
I read that they were sequestered at a hotel after the firing until the show ended taping. Too bad for the guys fired early on...they didn't get any pub. |

What a great finale. I love how they cute off Tammy after the Donald asked her about being pregnant.

What sucks is that Kwame didnt know that he could have actually fired Omarosa.... thats why in the board room he was like " I didnt know that was one of my options"

Originally posted by raven56706 What sucks is that Kwame didnt know that he could have actually fired Omarosa.... thats why in the board room he was like " I didnt know that was one of my options" I would have assumed it, considering he got to select her and the fact that 'you're fired' is the catchword of the game. Regardless, he could have simply given her nothing to do. |
What I don't understand is why Kwame still let Assorama do all of the face to face stuff with Jessica Simpson.
If she so incompetent, I would have shoved her in the back behind the scenes stapling papers together or something. |
I would have assigned Outhouse duties to Assorama as well.

Kwame has a new job already:
http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/st...2152900&EDATE= Chief Sales Officer at KFC. $25,000 for a weeks worth of work on a new product roll-out. Trumps staff at Mar-a-Lago wanted Kwame: "I would've liked to have seen more of the show, but quite frankly, we've been so busy," said Tom Tiley, a Mar-a-Lago beverage manager. "It's become more popular each week when the members realized Mr. Trump was involved with the show." Bernd Lembcke is Mar-a-Lago's vice president and managing director. Before the 32-year-old Rancic was named the apprentice, Lembcke said it was tough for him to pick a winner. "They're both likable guys and I think they're both smart and great business people," he said of the two finalists. "It's a toss-up." After talking to several Trump employees before Trump made his eagerly anticipated decision, however, the popular pick was Kwame Jackson. |
