reminder no 24 until 9:00 pm on sunday 4/18

i know this was mentioned in the "no american idol thread" but this is for 24 fans. this is all due to W's speech tomorrow night.
boy it sucks for me, since now i have 3 shows to watch, 24, alias, and sopranos.

Michael Corvin 04-12-04 11:24 PM

Wow. Had no idea. Thanks. So much for 9 straight weeks of episodes.

Ranger 04-12-04 11:27 PM

Wow. Guess I will have to tape either Alias or 24.

Deftones 04-12-04 11:39 PM

wow, thanks for the heads up. i'm sure tivo would've caught it, i'll have to check, just in case.

the narrator 04-13-04 12:35 AM

thanks for the heads up or I wouldn't have known until tomorrow when I tuned in to watch

dcprules 04-13-04 12:52 AM

Thanks for the info (I wouldn't have known), but this is absolutely TERRIBLE news. First, I have to wait another six freakin days for more 24 (after last weeks awesome episode, just getting to today has been tough) and by putting 24 on Sunday @ 9 it means NO ARRESTED DEVLOPMENT!!!

Well, I really didn't know exactly who to vote for in the upcoming election but by scheduling a press conference and preempting 24 means a major strike against Bush in my book.

Timmio 04-13-04 02:13 AM

Yeah, way to go Bush. Preempting AI then 24 is someone that's just outta touch with the people if you ask me. Lesson on how to screw thyself... :\

Now what do I do on Sunday!!!

The only good thing is that we'll only have to wait 2 days until the next 24 after the Sunday ep.

:hscratch:

FOX is still promoting it at 9 tonite on the east coast..

smokedragon 04-13-04 04:45 AM

Yeah,

I checked TV Guide's website and the listings still show 24 on at 9pm.

Then again, I'm not sure if Tv Guide ever updates the listings

mkdevo 04-13-04 05:53 AM

so does this mean no AD at 9:30 on sunday??

Groucho 04-13-04 07:54 AM

I'm so glad that Fox is shuffling their schedule around for this, since there is no other channel showing the Bush press conference.

Shannon Nutt 04-13-04 07:58 AM

Ughh...what is Fox thinking? Don't they know that 24 and The Sopranos draw the same types of demographics? Why not bump The OC out of the line-up for a week?

I guess the good news is that there will be only two days between new episodes...here's hoping they don't run a repeat of Sunday's show next Tuesday!

No American Idol tonight, either. Well President Bush, you just lost another vote.

My thoughts exactly - guess I'll have to watch whatever is on the WB tonight... gotta be less brainless than that lying dunderhead.

Assuming you're serious, this may be one of the funniest posts I've ever read.

I just realized that this frees up more time for me to watch teh kill bill on teh dvd tonight! Thanks, President Bush...you just earned yourself another vote.

Chew 04-13-04 08:39 AM

Obviously, President Bush is not a fan of American Idol, or else he never would have allowed his press conference to conflict with the show. Doesn’t he know that more people are interested in voting for the next American Idol than the next president? This will not help him gain votes in the coming election.

Both funny and sad at the same time.....

das Monkey 04-13-04 08:44 AM

*shudder* The thought that some of the same people voting for American Idol also vote for our President ... I didn't need that so early in the morning.

kantonburg 04-13-04 08:50 AM

Well it's the 18-24 age that they're really after. I'm sure thats what AI's audience mostly consists of. Bad move IMO.

From the other thread: http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve...470|1|,00.html

Says no Arrested Development and no Malcolm.

This is a minor annoyance for me, but looking over the schedule, this seems the best night to do this. It really only affects Fox, since the other major networks are in repeat mode for the night. Imagine if he did it on Thursday.

To be honest, I think they skew a lot lower than that. Just look at the voting trends this season.

I was being sarcastic...but only because there are a zillion more important reasons not to vote for Bush.

The only difference is American Idol voting isn't rigged.

mmconhea 04-13-04 11:35 AM
