Well, that was an interesting switcheroo, with only Amber staying with Chapera as all the other players switched to the other tribes, eerily so. Robfather had to be hating life at that point. Amber also hated her luck of the draw.

Well, the names of the tribe mean nothing as the new Mogo Mogo tribe win immunity in a closely fought Survivor Trivia contest.

Rob is heartbroken that Amber's tribe is going to tribal council, and Rob even pleaded with Lex that if he took care of Amber, he'd take care of him (down the line, when tribes merge). This exchange took place in a split second as the new Chapera tribe was going back to their camp.

The other new Chapera members are still thinking a merge is eminent, plus they are banking on Amber soothing the savage Robfather (thus avoiding Rob's heightened effort to win further immunity challenges, and trying to give themselves a better chance at winning immunity in the process). Plus, I do think Lex and Kathy think they can use this 'favor' to the Robfather if/when they merge to further themselves in the game. Loved Kathy's comment about Rob pulling a Godfather move with his plead to Lex to save his Amber.

Did Robfather act like a whiney bitch? Sure. But it was a great move. He hasn't displayed much loyalty to Alicia and Jenna so basically he has traded (via Amber's deal-making) those 2 for Lex and Kathy. He really didn't give anything away because he still has his primary deal with Tom and Amber which I think he will honor. He can be honorable to Lex and bring him to the final-4 or undercut him earlier if he wants to be devious.

Proper play by Lex and Kathy. They had little shot of getting far after a merge - they would have been the first 2 gone for sure because nobody liked Jerri and few liked Shi-Ann. Jerri and Shi-Ann's unpopularity combined with their physical weakness means they would have been simply dragged along.

Finally, what is up with this courtesy of informing people that their head will be chopped off. Prior to the Final-9 it is completely unnecessary and possibly hazardous.

Lex was the one that did this in his stint in Survivor Africa. This is one of the reasons why I don't really like his playing style because he really thinks he's calling all the shots with these "Well, we gotta let you go" talks.

I find it kinda of interesting to see a Survivor contestant so whipped while *on* the island. The inter-personal dynamics of this season is pretty fluid from week to week among these smaller tribes for these past 9 tribal councils.

The best part of this episode was Kathy, Lex, and Shii-Ann saying how much they didn't want to bow to the will of the Robfather, and seconds later noting how scared they were of his "wrath." Amazing.

Still, it's an obvious move. They're the weaker tribe, and dumbing Amber would be moronic. They're sure to be smaller come merge time and would be huge targets, not to mention losing Amber makes it even more likely they'd be fewer in numbers since she's good at challenges. No brainer.

That's what I hate about Lex also-- he is so full of himself and I think his cockiness is his downfall. I'm sure once a merge does occur they will probably vote him out soon enough. His team already eliminated all the strong males (at his behest) so now they are stuck with him in the interim.

What a pathetic tribe. No one on that tribe deserves to win. The deal with Rob gets them absolutely nothing. Shii-Ann and Lex are still the first two to go after the merge, unless they decide to get rid of Rupert first. Either way, they still got nothing out of it.

If they vote off Amber, they have a chance to make it 4-4 after the next immunity challenge. Instead, its now 6-3.
