What kind of Dish am I getting, I need one for 4 tuners
I will be getting Directv on Thursday and the package I got is a two-room one being a two-tuner DVR and the other being a regular box. I do want to get another duel tuner in about a month to replace the regular box, which means I am going to need another line going to that box. Now should I tell the installer about that and see if he can run the extra line now or what? Is the Dish I will be getting going to have the capability of 4 tuners? Sorry for all the questions I am just new to the Directv dish thing.

First, your tuners won't be fighting each other; they'll work together, so that's good.
I don't know which dish you'll get -- possibly a 4-output oval (maybe a round) -- but regardless, it will handle 4 as well as 3, so you won't need to worry about that. You might as well have him run the extra cable while he's there, though. No reason not to, and it should be free. das |
cool thanks

Like Das said, since you got the DVR, you'll probably be getting the 18x20 oval dish which can handle four lines without additional equipment, and up to 8 with a multiswitch. If you're getting the circle dish, you'll need a multiswitch to go to four (or three). Just have the installer run your extra line while he's there.
