Boston Public vs. Wonderfalls

Okay so we learned this a few months ago: "The news means "Boston Public" will apparently be off of FOX's schedule until at least April 30, the first Friday of the May sweeps period."

Now why wont Fox just cancel the show (BP), I mean on Friday Wonderfalls starts its seven (7) week run and I highly doubt they will replace it with BP during May sweeps.

Im looking forward to Wonderfalls, but I do miss the 'good' episodes of BP.

BP is as good as dead. Chi McBride has already signed on for a new ABC series next season. You'll be lucky to see a summer burn-off of remaining episodes.

On an off-topic but slightly related note, does anybody know what is up with Miss Match?

It was originally supposed to come back in March but I haven't heard a word lately.

I've heard "Wonderfalls" described as "Joan Of Arcadia" just with inanimate objects replacing God...

True?

Even if it is, does it matter? All anybody needs to know about it is that it's from the creator of Dead Like Me, one of the greatest Mutant Enemy writer/directors, and Todd Holland (My So-Called Life, Relativity, Twin Peaks, Larry Sanders, Malcolm in the Middle). How can you not tune in after knowing that?

I actually don't know too much about it, but I love all those shows and the tv critics have been hyping this show since the beginning of the fall season. I never agree with movie critics, but I tend to be somewhat in sync with tv critics. Maybe I'm just desperate for a great show since we've getting so many just merely decent shows.

That "pedigree" might be a selling point for you, but it does nothing for me. And the critics "hype", regardless of what form of media, means even less. I supposed i'm still smarting from FOX's "handling" of Boston Public. Especially after [what I perceived as] an improvement in material after last season..

Anyways, back to Wonderwalls. The initial promos caught my attention, but the recent extended ones didn't. I might give it a shot. Who knows?

I'm just too reluctant to get addicted to Wonderfalls, considering that this is FOX (meaning, if it's a good show, it's not making it to October and the new season)
