ALERT - Arrested Development 3/7

The data guide on my DirecTivo is showing the 3/7 episode of Arrested Development as a Repeat rather than as New; this is the episode that was replaced at the relatively last minute on 2/22 by Bernie Mac.

Just a heads-up for others who love this show as I do, that this week's show really is new! :-)

Also of note:

FOX is looking to give its ratings-challenged comedy "Arrested Development" an extra boost, as the network announced today it has scheduled a new installment of the series for Wednesday, March 17 at 9:30/8:30c following an expanded one-hour "American Idol" results show.

Oh damn, that was a funny episode with tremendous setup and payoff at the end.

"What Would Saddam Do?" LOL!

Gobe's quite the grudge *beep*er, isn't he?

Great episode.

The opening with nightvision camera was great. Having Micheal and Buster in bed together was hilarious.

Gob: George-Michael, what are you doing here?
George-Michael: I'm looking for you.

That crack from Buster about the immigrant and then we see the cleaning lady put the soda back was priceless.

Michael says this multiple times in the episode in reference to middle eastern interiors. Is the implication that the father designed Saddam's palace, etc or that he stole the design ideas?

Another hilarious episode even if David Chase was completely absent in this one.

I don't know why FOX thinks this show and Malcom are going to beat The Sopranos or Alias. Moving it to somewhere in the week like Wednesday would sure make my Tivo scheduling easier!

I also loved the flashback of the drunk mother signing the Korean adoption papers.

Loved that only Michael knew that "ahnlong" meant "Hello" in Korean, while the rest of the family thought it was the adoptee's name.

I think you mean David Cross. David Chase is the creator of the Soprano's.

Read the first post in the thread. It was supposed to have aired last month, but got pulled. It showed as a rerun in the tivo listings.

That's weird, mine did. It's a good thing, as I didn't see the alert ahead of time to check it.

I have a DirecTivo, is yours a stand-alone?

Now, I know it's only a TV show, but how do they expect us to believe that he did know this, but *didn't* know that "Hermano" meant "Brother" a few weeks ago?

You have the program set as record all, while he probably has it set to record 1st run only.

You're prob. right. I usually always set my Season Passes as 1st run only, but I remember changing the Arrested Development SP to catch the re-run of the pilot episode (which I missed most of due to football) and I probably forgot to set it back to first run only.

Great episode, as always. I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! Thanks for the tip about the new episode on the 17th after American Idol. I would have never caught it, otherwise.
