West Wing - 2/25

Wow, another belated WW thread. Has any show ever fallen this far this fast?

I vowed after seeing the preview for this episode that if CJ and Hoynes had had an affair, I was going to fire this show forever. That is such a desparate and farfetched plot development it makes me sick. So this rendezvous they had 10 years ago, the moment CJ calls the most regretful of her entire life, it was NEVER alluded to all these years? You'd think one of the worst moments of your life might come up once in a while, given that you work with the other person involved.

And what were they thinking with that preview for next week? At the end, when Toby is confronting the perpetrator, you can clearly see who it is.

I'm starting to hate WW>

I'm with you, friend. It's gone from one of my favorite shows to one that I'm ready to bail on. Bad, bad, bad.

What have the ratings been like this season? Have they dropped noticably? I see that it ranked 3rd in the timeslot last night, but I don't know if that is typical...

Crap. Pure, unadulterated crap.

I'm pretty sure it has fallen off. The Bachelor/Bachelorette has continued to do well, but the move of King of Queens to that slot has really changed things. I would not be suprised if WW is moved next season because that it is a big timeslot.

Through the beginning of February, it's 29th overall.

Hey, cool site. Thanks. 29th overall. 51st last week in January.

p.s.: Alias is #74? Ouch.
p.p.s.: Enterprise is #136?

That website has a fantasy TV league that I've always wanted to try.

Oh damn. Today is Thursday. I missed WW. After reading some those reviews of this ep it appears I didn't miss much. The show has definitely jumped the shark without the telltale addition of a child. :(

Well, Tobey just had twins at the end of last season. Maybe they'll work some "babysitting" storylines into the mix. ;)

"Mr. President, I have a very important meeting to attend... could you please watch the twins?"

"Well actually Tobey, I wouldn't know the first thing abo--"

"It's really easy. Thank you, sir!"

Later, while changing the twins' diapers, Bartlet has a revelation:
"By God, I shouldn't be cutting Head Start funding! What have I been thinking?"

Toby's twins, yet another storyline unceremoniously dropped...

Venusian 02-27-04 07:35 PM

i liked the episode...although many of the storylines were taken from real life.

the base closings, the chinese bra thing, replace hoynes with oneal and that matches up too (minus the affair)
