Fear Factor 2/16/04 (Spoilers!)
Tonight was the finale of the couples Fear Factor and all I've got to say was WOW! These last 7 weeks have been incredible. Fear Factor had gotten stale and same ole, but they hit upon a great idea of putting 9 couples competing against each other.
We got to see rivalries form, namely Monica saying that she hated Adam. We got to see couples fight, mostly Adam & Meg. There was a couple Meghan & James, who couldn't win anything and just did enough to make it to the next round each time. But there they were in the finals! Jackson & Monica (my favorite couple). Monica was so beautiful, but I don't know why she saw the need to get breast implants. She's about 5 feet tall and 95 lbs and her breasts look humungous. But I guess some (most) guys like it that way. Adam & Meg (she was quite pretty also). They would fight all the time and Meg actually hit Adam in a previous episode. But they kept winning the prizes and coming in 1st or 2nd place each time. Meghan & James (the weakest couple by far). Actually James was the weak one of the couple. In the beginning, when there were more couples, they would finish near last every time. They didn't win any prizes, but they did just enough to make it to the next round. Tonights episode was incredible, especially the middle one, which had tarantula's. The women were strapped down and 500 hundred tarantula's and 1000's of crickets were dumped on them. The men had to transfer in their mouths, ground up crickets in some foul tasting liquid and spit it into a plastic tube to push a key up. The key opens the lock which releases a saw, which is used to saw thru a pipe. When the pipe is sawed in two, the men are able to open the lid and release the flag, which ends the game. To say that this was one of the most difficult and terrifying stunts ever, would not be overstating it. Meghan went first and she was shaking and it took them around 2 1/2 minutes. By that time both Monica & especially Meg were crying in fear of having to do the stunt. Of course they were made to wear the skimpiest outfits, so that the tarantula's would crawl all over and into the crevices of their bodies. Next it was Monica's turn and she was crying and shaking, but Jackson got it done in just over a minutes time, so they made it into the final's. We can see Meg slowly having a nervous breakdown and saying that she could not do the stunt. Mr. Insensitive Adam of course is pushing her to do it. They get her strapped down and she is wimpering and saying that she cannot do it. Adam is trying to console her, but it doesn't work. She wants out. Then Joe Rogan talks with her and she is strapped in again, but this time she completely breaks down and they have to take her out. The strongest and most successful of the 9 couples, fail to make it to the finals. That stunt was pretty intense though. The finals were kind of anti-climactic with Jackson & Monica going against James & Meghan. It was a physical swimming stunt and Jackson & Monica beat them by more than 10 seconds. The ratings for these last 6 weeks have been some of the highest in Fear Factor history. I like the idea of couples going against each other. You have the familiarity factor with each couple. They know each others strengths and weaknesses and they seem to fight a lot. Then you have the rivalries of couple against couple. And the best part is that we, the audience, start to form an emotional attachment to one or more of the couples, since we get to see them week after week. I'm sure we will see another couples marathon next season. And if the producers pick enough good personalities to compete, then it will be real interesting. Sorry that it ended, but it was a good 7 weeks. Chris |
I agree, good stuff. The last stunt was pretty lame to me though, that was one of the shortest ones they had. I'm gonna miss the Megs's too. I agree about Monica too, wayyy too much silicone for her very small frame.
they should do this more often, carry the same people over from week to week, so you get to know them some. J |
Re: Fear Factor 2/16/04 (Spoilers!)
Regarding Monica...she was cute [wouldn't go as far as beautiful] however, Adam's impression of her [a couple episodes back] was dead on and funny as hell. On the other hand, I thought she resembled Mr. Peepers
http://www.angelfire.com/me3/kattan1...sthkattan5.jpg About her boobs...you guys were right. Her boobs were WAAAAAAAAAAY overdone. She's 95 pounds and 50 of those were them boobies. Not only that, but her right one was bigger than the left. Since they seem to have been done by a hack, i'm wondering what her aerolas look like...they probably have some nasty scars. Oh well. She now has $500k to fix 'em. And about the whole 7 weeks of "couples" competing...if it doesn't eat into the original episode count, I have no problem with it. I don't necessarily want to get to know these people though. 45 minutes is enough. If I wanted to make some friends, i'd watch Survivor. I like this show strictly for the competition aspect. Not only that, but i'd have a harder time trying to defend FF as not being a "reality" show... |
heh... guess i'm not the only one who's constantly defending FF as a non-reality show..
i really enjoyed CFF as well.. it was a great idea, and it was a nice break from the normal week to week FF. more praise for the Meg's here, especially James' Meg. wow. the other Meg was a royal bitch, but she was still hot.. and i'm prolly a real dork for doing this, but i actually had tears in my eyes during stunt 2 last night, then Meg was bugging out.. i don't know if i was sad for her, being so terrified in that situation, or if i was sad for Adam, who was one stunt away from the $1M stunt, and his big, tough, bitchy girlfriend totally caved in and BLEW it for him.. i mean, not for nothing, but it's FEAR Factor. what are you doing on the show if you can't face anything they throw at you?? sure, they went away with a lot of stuff, but i don't think i'd have an easy time forgiving her for quitting. so, all in all, a great 7 weeks. i don't think i'd want to see this all the time, but if they were to do it once per season, i think it'd be good for the show... |
I'm sorry, I missed the last three episodes, but there was NOTHING wrong with Monica's boobs. She is one of the single hottest women I have ever seen.

I'm glad they won. They looked like they had more fun than anyone on there. Never balked at any stunt. Can we get any pics, please? I liked couples because there were two to a team which brought different kinds of stunts than the ordinary. Lastly, Meghan and James were eliminated at one point but everyone else voted them back in. I'm glad they didn't win. James was a wuss. She was totally carrying him. |
Only popped in to say 'HOLY YABOS'. I caught the last 2 minutes of this on my Las Vegas recording.

Monica's rack is friggin huge. I noticed that when she was walking before the last challenge you could see stretching in her right boob, lol.
Meg's hot.... but I'm glad she folded like a piece of paper. Adam's an idiot. For the $1,000,000 challenge you'd think they'd have a harder last mission. Kinda disappointing. |
I wish they'd do something like this more often. I enjoy the regular eps, but this continuous competition idea is great. It gives the show more of an Amazing Race vibe (which is a high compliment). All they need to do now is take the show on the road (to places other than Las Vegas, that is). Imagine Fear Factor stunts on the Eiffel Tower! :)

That's one thing that they haven't done. They haven't gone to other countries to do Fear Factor. I'm sure there are a lot of English speaking people in other countries that would be great on Fear Factor. And just think of the women!

Here it is, the proof is in the pudding.
http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve...398|1|,00.html The finale of "Fear Factor's" million-dollar couples competition scored a 10.6/16 at 8 p.m. for NBC, the show's highest rating of the season. As I and others have said here, if they do this once a season, then that would be great and it wouldn't be overkill. Chris |
As long as they have hot chicks with major yabos. ;)

People like to throw around the word hate, but they really don't know the meaning of the word. I guess it's same for the word love, also. Chris |
Monica and Jackson were my favorite couple from the beginning. They seemed like they actually were in love, as opposed to Meg and Adam, who fought ALL the time. Mostly because Adam is such a major A-hole. She's freaking out about the spiders and he's trying to pressure her to do it. He was a real d**k. I really hated him from the beginning. And that guy James was a total wuss. The girl was way more brave than him and he kept talking a big game and then throwing up and being "really really nervous". I really enjoyed this CFF...the final stunt...very dissapointing.

Not to crap but why do you people watch this show? I thought it all came down to the eating strange things competition. But that gets old. It's puzzling why anyone would want to watch it during eating hours as well.

Adam was a dick but Meg was just as bad. What a bitch. And she had a nice body, but her face was very plain.
|
that's what i'm saying. the majority of the hate seems to be directed towards Adam. Meg was just as much of a bitch. actually, if you think about it, they're perfect for each other.
|
I would bet $10 that they have already broken up! :)
