All around good episode. Fav line: "Damn Scots, they ruined Scotland!"

"Pity custody, BOO-YAH!" Then the scene outside with him having to give the repoman his pants.

The TV neighbors statues at the museum with Flanders at the end was great.

Decent episode, but wasn't somebody supposed to die/get killed? Or is it my imagination?

That was the highlight for me, the rest of it was so-so.

It looks like Luann Van Houten has left the show forever.

I thought it was a funny episode in spite of the lame sweeps "gag."

I liked the "Itchy & Scratchy" segment where the mice go to the Chinese restaurant, eat....and then finish their meal one hour later. Not sure how many people would've gotten the joke.

Was a decent episode, but Homer's hobo subplot felt like it had been tried a million times before. Also his "Marge, I'm not going to lie to you" line was shameless ripped from another episode.

Willie's rant

Despite an overall weakness of the narrative, it was very nice to see an episode based less on crazy antics and more on people trying to be nice to each other. Willie's rant was the humor highlight; the episode wasn't particularly funny but it was sweet.

wasn't the malibu stacy head doll in reference to something that happened in the early seasons of the simpsons? i remember Bart stealing one, or destroying one. something like that

I'm not sure how many people wouldn't have gotten it.

I thought it balanced crazy antics (Homer's panhandling) with sweetness (Bart and Lisa's friendship) rather nicely. I like shows that aren't afraid to display both of those qualities.

Yes I agree, note how Homer's panhandling was based on getting a gift for Marge. This is a far cry from The Simpsons Go to XXX and wreck havok.

I hope this means we get to see more of Kirk Van Houten. The bit with the Repo Man coming for his pants was hilarious.

Yeah that was interesting overall. So does this mean that bart and lisa are going to have a noticably better relationship now?

Kinda a weak episode IMHO. If I want to see hugging at the end I'll watch "Full House." I wish they'd done more with the "gangsta" Milhouse in Capital City, that was the funniest portion of the show for me but it only lasted a few minutes.

A weak episode in my opinion as well. This season has been up and down, just like the last few seasons.
