I think they shot it at something (the alarm?) on the ceiling after (or was it before?) they went down the electric tunnel.

No, he's wondering about the green stuff that Sloane injected into his arm w/ a hypodermic needle before he called Jack about talking to the pshrink.

Sloan injected it himself right before he called Jack and said he'd accept the offer of therapy.

I think he stole the liquid from Master Splinter. That would explain the warthog and rhinocerous in the room.

Spoiler:
joking

Don't know... it was in third place last night for its timeslot, which is pretty typical.

The beginning of the CBS movie "It Must Be Love" had a 9.7/15 at 9 p.m. to allow CBS to hold first. NBC got a 6.2/9 out of "American Dreams" and stayed in second, beating the 5.6/9 for a new "Alias." FOX was a distant fourth with "Malcolm in the Middle" and "Arrested Development," while The WB stayed competitive in fifth thanks to the 2.9/5 for "The Surreal Life."

Thanks. I must have missed that with the liquid.

I would expect it to get picked up, but you never know. It has a cult following (ie small audience) but they do know that they have a winner in Garner, and have signed her up to a long term contract.

So I guess we can all agree that Lauren's the biggest slut in the Alias Spyworld? :D

I liked the episode. Any screentime between Jack and Arvin is just classic. Just two titans circling each other.

I think they would have to borrow that from either Shredder or Krang. ;) Splinter would want nothing to di with it.

While they definitely have more strength than her, I would give Syd an edge over Rocksteady and Bebop because they are so stupid.

I also am holding out hope that Lauren is not actually 100% bad. I still remember the interview with the actress before the season started, when she was excited about the complexity of playing a character the audience wouldn't want to hate.

I finally watched this last night (from videotape) and I was thinking the same thing: seems classic Alias that if they showed it in the previews, it might not actually be that Sloane is Syd's dad, just a tease. Or maybe he's just messing with the shrink's head?

Also, about Lauren: maybe she's doing some super-secret undercover thing with the Covenant... like Syd was doing when she was Julia Thorne... everyone at the Covenant thinks she's with them, and maybe soon everyone at the CIA will find that out, but I was thinking "that's too convenient". It'd be just like Alias to appear to make Lauren bad, when it's some convoluted undercover thing... ;)

I hope they aren't making Lauren bad just so they can have her catfight Syd and conveniently put Syd back with Vaughn if Lauren bites the dust.

calbearz 02-21-04 06:56 AM

i too think that lauren is doing some undercover work for the cia against the covenant and is not a bad guy.

Possibly, but she might have a bit more of a bloodlust than Syd ever did.

If everyone's loyalties are unclear, it is cool up to a point. But if they do it too many more times too quickly, it makes me think that a new writer joined the team and said "wouldn't it be cool if...". Seems like Sark is the only one whose loyalty cannot be questioned because he has none.
