Good episode. I'm glad she booted Theo. His sketch is not very cool. Did she boot the guy who called her beaver? I guess she'll save that for next week's episode.

Good episode. I was actually hoping Theo would get a chance to redeem himself. I admit I got a little choked up listening to the interview when Theo said he was rooting for one of the "average" guys. Larissa would have been better off keeping Theo instead of the "beaver" guy.

I feel sorry for the guys that get the boot before a private date. I'm glad David Daskal was sent packing. He is an extremely nice guy, but realistically there was zero chance of Larissa choosing him in the end.

Very cool segment at the end about Sean losing all that weight. Who would have thought the most awkward hot tub experience in history would inspire such determination? Way to go man!

Theo's speech at the end was priceless though:

Something about hero's bleeding when they are denied, and how they have to pick themselves up and carry on, followed by the classic words of:
"And thus I shall do"

And the completely non-sensical:
"I wish you had let me get you to show you more of me"

And, of course, Shiny Happy Shiny People Pants (whoever said that)

Props to Sean for that... since I was watching CSI: Miami, I only caught a little bit of AJ2, but from what I saw "Boston" Brian had it going on... and Todd creeps me out too.

My friend's sis-in-law dated Todd quite a few years ago. Says he's pretty much just like he is in the show.

Somehow I missed this. Any info or pics out there? I'm interested to see what he looks like now.

(even though he had no chance of winning, I was rootin' for the guy)

I don't have pics but I agree...the guy was pretty cool...I am sure he will not have any problems meeting women after this show.

Here is the jist of it. After the show, Sean started working with a personal trainer. He works out every day now, weight lifting and running. He has lost 70 pounds so far, I think. They showed a picture of him holding up a HUGE pair of his old pants. It looked like you could now fit 2 of him in those pants. He said the hot tub experience inspired him to get in shape.

I think Larissa sees the best in everyone... especially the joes. Did you notice how she tears up when she has to let go the joes at the end of the show? And she didn't seem to have the same reaction when she has to boot a jock. I have a feeling Larissa will surprise us all and pick a joe at the end.

No way. That's the one problem with this show. No girl will ever pick one of the 'Subpar Joes'*

*Im sorry, calling most of these guys average is an insult to average guys.

I'm sad to see Mike S. leave the show. He was the cutest of all the Joes. Ah well.

What the hell happens next week??..Some goe pushes a button and the boat explodes??..Weird stuff

I like Larissa she seems to be trying to find the right guy out of the whole bunch as oppose to just the looks..I applaud her for letting the musclehead blond guy go..He was so into himself

I'm rooting for Brian (despite the "bawston" accent) or the quiet artist (formely known as Prince)

Found an "after" picture of Sean:

That's impressive. In that picture he looks like Ed Robertson from Barenaked Ladies.

Here's the article that I got it from.

My friend (who's really into Average Joe) said he thinks when none of the guys are around, she kisses the cameraman.

If it was a guy acting this way with the women.
Can you imagine the uproar from women on how NBC can show a man playing with innocent women's feelings.

Nobody's complained about "The Bachelor," "Joe Millionaire," or any of the bazillion other shows of this nature.

So it turns out David Daskal is not a mail sorter after all, but AN ACTOR. I guess he had 'em all fooled, including the viewing public.

Who knew?

This came out in some newspaper articles the first week it was on ... David ... and I think there was another one as well.

I work for an L.A. company and there are a few people who have been on TV who have small office jobs. The pain is that they are out a lot because of auditions.

Now the question to ask is if David Daskal was 'acting' when he was on Average Joe. And if he was acting, was he acting on his own to promote his acting skill or directed by someone else from the show?

now I want to watch Win A Date With Tad Hamilton.

edit: is anyone else having trouble picturing him as a Nazi in the Sound of Music?

I sure hope so. I can't get the watermelon in the pool incident out of my head.

He's not even listed in IMDB. He must not be that good of an actor, just a true spaz. The real life Matthew Brock
