Yikes. The Palmer storyline started slowly and is still going nowhere, after this many episodes. Inexcusable. David Palmer used to be one of my favorite characters, too.

I have a simple request: When Amador was handed the virus he said "I have the virus." I turned my head for a few seconds and didn't catch his second line; was it anything important?

Anyone get the feeling that the Delta team is going to get ambushed and slaughtered by some rogue ex-Delta/super-ninja team, leaving Chase as the only living witness?

I stopped watching the previews for the next week a few episodes ago, so anything I say is purely speculative and not based on anything I've seen or heard.

Chloe may be the weirdest character of all time: "I've got work to do! Who's going to watch my baby?" HILARIOUS stuff. (And of course Kim, who just saved Chloe's job, gets stuck with childcare duty.) Very odd storyline.

Overall I liked last night's episode. Chase is a good character and I think it's plenty interesting that Palmer has called in Sherry. In Season One & Two, even when people were trying to fight dirty with him, he would never go the "Sherry" route, now he's more than willing...

She can't get "caught" again. The cat is already out of the bag, and they're going to let her keep the baby at work (with Kim as babysitter).

Probably because 24 won a Golden Globe. Trying to fill people in who might be tuning in for the first time.

Thought the episode was OK, nothing special. It does certainly look like most of this was setup for next week's show.

Isn't it obvious? Kim and Chase will have a kid next year. They're just prepping the audience for it.

Word! My wife and I were watching and we said to each other, "Why are we watching this again"? I'm still miffed about this whole undercover op in effect wasting our attention for the first 7 episodes.

But will I stop watching? No. Because I love Jack. And I want to see if Chase's nose gets shot off.

I have 2 problems with the show this season. First the character Chloe is annoying and doesn't bring anything to the show. my biggest complaint about this year though is Chase. What is up with this character. Jack doesn't need a partner, Chase looks far to young to be doing fieldwork, and overall he is a nuisance to the show. Jack is the one that carries the show, I think if Chloe and Chase were removed the show would seem more like the old 24 I have come to enjoy. One last thing, I was dissapointed with David this year, he used to be an honerable man, what happened to that?

Not only that, but this is the first episode this season to have American Idol as a lead-in (last week was the State of the Union).

What I find amusing is that Chloe is "the best we have" at whatever coding/whatever task they were talking about. As far as I can tell she's never demonstrated any sort of skill. It seemed to me like she was Jack's assistant/secretary at the beginning of the season. Now she's suddenly invaluable to the team?

I think the reason there was such a long lead-in is because the last new episode was shown two weeks ago. People tend to forget things, so it was just a big refresher.

I thought the ep was ok, but fully agree Chloe HAS TO GO. Just have her accidentally slip on a puddle of water in the hallway and break her neck...

From Zap 2 It: "On FOX, '24' held onto the "Idol" lead-in with an 8.1/12 in its first half-hour, but slumped to a 6.4/9 in its second half hour."

It still finished 2nd for the hour. I wouldn't worry...there's NO WAY Fox will cancel the show now with its Golden Globe award. Besides, I believe American Idol is its lead-in for the rest of the season.

Plus, I think FOX makes a killing off the DVD sales...I believe the first two seasons sold very well when compared to sales of other TV shows.

There are shows all the time that get canned even if they win awards.

True, but these shows weren't finishing 2nd in their time period. Plus, I think everyone at FOX realizes the mistake they made with FAMILY GUY - that's why they're making a feature film of it.

I too wasn't all that impressed with this episode (on par for the rest of the season, thus far). It was said before, but nothing happend that I didn't already suspect.

Poor Claudia. She's in the Afterlife maybe half an hour before her numbnuts husband follows her.
