This is one of the funniest simpsons I've seen in recent years. Let's see how they finish it up.

Easily the funniest ****ing episode of the season.

And I never realized just how different that art style for the show has gotten til tonight.

hotaru_san 01-11-04 07:54 PM

rabbit77 01-11-04 07:55 PM

I thought I would ruch in here and rave about the best episode in years, but I'm not alone!

And it had a real ending!

Exzavier00 01-11-04 07:55 PM

and homer's oscer dream, his speech being too long, him dying and then being remembered right after I lol'ed

BlackCapTen 01-11-04 07:57 PM

I definitely laughed out loud quite a lot during this episode. Classic stuff in there, good references, etc.

Was maggie in the robot with Homer near the end? I taped the episode and checked it out, she seemed to pop up from the bottom of the robot as it was getting beat up.

haha yeah I think they just wanted as many characters in there as possible, can't neglect the baby :D

chanster 01-11-04 07:58 PM

yea she was

Jobronie 01-11-04 08:02 PM

Too bad it took so long to get this ep to air.

As good as it was tonight, it would have been AMAZING if all those batling robot shows were still on every other cable channel like they were a few years ago.....

rabbit77 01-11-04 08:03 PM

highlights for me:

Pain = love
In the business we call that a bigge
Mind doing my back?
Principal Tanzarian
Tonight I get to eat food!

j123vt_99 01-11-04 08:05 PM

yeah.. she was in there

that's true

south park has spoiled us by being able to keep up to date so well, but there's not much excuse for being this far behind...still, it was funny -smile-

tonyc3742 01-11-04 08:14 PM

enjoyed it :)
Lots of good gags, lots of good references, both to popculture and Simpsons universe--like the way they pre-avoided any continuity gripes about the cats--when I first saw Snowball V, I thought, My, that cat looks just like Snowball II.

Biggest gripe--*#*$ing football. *$&$ing Fox. Obviously someone does, but I don't care to see a bunch of cro-magnon troglodytes throwing around a piece of a pig. And I sure don't want to see it for the 25 minutes I'm friggin waiting for Simpsons to come on. I have always liked Fox, but mostly because they were the 'alternative' channel, showing things most others wouldn't--but now between NFL and the stupid 'reality' shows [American Idol--a THREE NIGHT series premiere? And Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance? I dearly dream of the day when the only 'reality' shows on tv are things like Rescue 911.]

Groucho 01-11-04 08:48 PM

The return of Frink's son from Season 2(?). The only character in the series who has aged?

i thought so too. especially this ep.
some camera angles were very different for the simpsons.

plus i loved coltrane.
he looked like a little bart.
wish he woulda' lived.

madcougar 01-11-04 09:14 PM

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this episode was great. I laughed out loud too many times to count, begining with the Milhouse gag.

As a whole this season is probably the funniest in the last four or five.

Deftones 01-11-04 09:16 PM

wow, what a great episode. tons of laugh out loud moments. easily the best this season.
