Twilight Zone Knockoffs
I just watched a few episodes of "Night Gallery," Rod Serling's follow-up to his classic Twilight Zone series. I've also watched a few episodes of the new Outer Limits and it's ehhhhh.
Anyone else recommend series such as TZ? |
The easy answer is the original Outer Limits. There's plenty of people that find it to be better than Zone.

"Tales of the Unexpected" was also a decent show.

My favorite TZ knock-off was the 1980s revival of TZ. I remember this one episode where the English language spontaneously changed for everyone except this one guy. Suddenly, everyone was saying "dinosaur" when they meant lunch. As the day went on, more and more words changed, and by the end
Spoiler:
I also liked the 1980s revival of Alfred Hitchcock Presents. |
Amazing Stories is really good. I'm a TZ junkie and I've found nothing other than in books that equals what I love about The Twilgiht Zone. However I do really like Amazing Stories. Now and then the SciFi network has afternoon round-ups of the episodes.

I have all 3 seasons of the 80s Twilight Zone and this show was brilliant. I never get tired of watching them.

I thought the few they did last year with Forrest Whittaker were on par. The best was "If you could go back and kill Hitler, would you?" episode. Very creepy.

I really like The Outer Limits - old and new versions.
