ok, I realize Romano was a total prick, but everyone not wanting to go to the memorial is a bit extreme. There have been some co-workers that I despised, but if they died and we had a memorial at my place of employment that would not require me to go out of my way to attend, I'd go.
and could they make pratt and gallant look any more alike? same haircut, both growing goatees |
ER -- "Missing" 12.04.2003
Missing Two distinct cultures collide when Neela (Parminder Nagra) treats two Amish teenagers involved in a car accident who are exploring the outside world to determine if they want to return to the reclusive society while Dr. Corday (Alex Kingston) and a few others mourn the loss of a talented colleague. Elsewhere, Sam (Linda Cardellini) clashes with sympathetic Dr. Kovac (Goran Visnjic) when he pays too much attention to her trouble-prone teenaged son Alex (guest star Oliver Davis) while Dr. Lewis (Sherry Stringfield) is pained when an unconscious 5-year-old girl cannot be traced to any parent or guardian. In addition, Dr. Pratt (Mekhi Phifer) scopes out the beautiful Valerie (guest star Joy Bryant) who is visiting her nervous brother Dr. Gallant (Sharif Atkins). re: Romano/Sam/Sam's hellspawn It's a true shame the writers chose to off Romano. He hardly had any significant storyline at all and seemed to be a device for the writers to use when they needed to stir things up. Glad to see Lizzie took time out from rolling around in bed with Doctor Doofus to honor his memory. And...Sam's still :drool:, but her brat has now officially filled the space Abby's family left open...ugh. |

Haven't watched ER in a few months, but since w/oAT was a repeat I didn't think that I'd be the only other person to attend Romano's memorial service. I side with Mr. Hunt, if someone I hated to work with died, would go and honor their memory. Besides, Pratt's 'helicopter' comment was a little uncalled for... but was made up for his shock when Gallant's sister through the 'fully-functionally' back at him. rotfl Looks like Thandie Newton might join the cast as the 'new squeeze' Carter brings home. Oh, one more thing... Abbie got a 52! :lol: |
When they killed Romano off, they should've just burnt the ER down.

This was a strange episode, it was like a show without a rudder. None of the medical cases were all that interesting.
Nice to see Neela shows an angrier side of her personality. So Kovach and Carter are tag-team doctors without borders now? It was sad that Romano had not too many to show up and pay their last respects. At least Elizabeth had something to do this episode besides snapping at ER doctors. Weaver is a weasel. I guess Pratt is over Deb for good. It was a little amusing to see how he would recover from finding out about Gallant's sister's condition with MS. |

I only half watched, and was about 20 minutes late. And would switch back and forth to the LOTR 20/20 episode on ABC.
Romano was mentioned twice, in passing, and will never be discussed again. They made a bigger deal when Abby's mom left the show. Next week's episode looks like MASH. I stand by my decision to quit watching. Farewell ER. Hello Without a Trace. |

I hate the Sam 'n Kid subplot! Get rid of that brat. Every time Sam yelled at Kovac for "interfering" with her kid, I wanted him to scream back "then don't bring him to the ER, bitch!"

Yeah what is the deal with this show recently? Why does every week seem to have good previews but totally suck in the end? I dunno, I am losing my interest to watch this show.

Figured no one would show respect to Romano, besides Corday. And I still hate Weaver.
I like Sam, but when she mentioned to Kovac that he knew nothing about kids (or had never had kids - something to that affect) - I wanted somebody to tell her about the wife and kids he lost in the war. I was thinking, "Oh no, don't go there, lady, you're about to open a can of worms." I'm not looking forward to Carter coming back w/ a new girlfriend. I like him w/ Abbie. And I will be pissed if Kovac leaves for Africa again. Nice to not have to see Morris this ep, but I missed Coop, even though we got a few dosses of the other weird med-student. |
