Simpsons 11/9

Only a few funny moments, but overall a disappointment. The end where Homer kicks over Grimey's gravestone had me rolling though.

Dear Die Hard,

YOU ROCK!

Especially the part when that guy jumped off the roof.

Homer Simpson

P.S.- Do you know Mad Max?

The grimey thing cracked me the hell up. For this "new simpsons generation" of episodes it was OK.

"You testified against me"

ok episode. I liked when they were comparing Mona and Mr Burns and they had the 19th century wood drawing of him scaring children.

Ok, episode. the best parts were Homer's letter and when Bart was being re-birthed.

decent episode. I found the beginning quite funny when Homer said, "this counts as a bath" to Marge as she's spraying him with a garden hose.

Homer writes letters to movies, you write posts to tv shows?

apparently NO ONE will ever be pleased with a current episode of the simpsons EVER again...of course the older ones are funnier but do 100 people need to complain about how 'average' it was or how it was 'nothing special' after every new episode.

its still easily one of the best shows on tv. EASILY. enjoy it while we have it. i learned that when we lost seinfeld.

It's nice to have Simpsons back on the air even when it's not all that funny.

I swear, every Simpson's thread has started with this very same statement.

I for one found this episode to be great. The writing seemed to be more like that of old.

At least there was no celebrity playing themselves in this one.

I thought the writing was on par with the best Simpsons. I'm not sure how people didn't think this one was pretty funny.

Great episode ... can't believe more people didn't mention Bart's "re-birth" ... - the rope umbilical cord was a nice touch...

Bart: Wah Wah, I'm a baby...You owe me a dirtbike!

(or something to that effect)

Me too. It had its moments, but was kind of lame. But then I never really liked the original episode with Homer's Mom to begin with. Kind of an angle I wish the writers never went at.

Definitely some good gags, like the woodcarving.
