Maybe they can pick up a new crew member.

Maybe it's a cross-over attempt to resurrect Firefly

I’m waiting for them to go to Sherwood Forest and Trip could say something like, “I am NOT a merry…”

Wait. That sounds familiar for some reason.

actually, it wasn't that bad. If people would watch it before bitching that is.
instead of TOS's "humans spontaneously developing on multiple planets with the same culture" it was explained in a better/more believable way, alien abduction. had some of the standard trek "explore a bad human experience" to some extent in the form of slavery. No cave

It actually was a pretty good episode, because there was a plausable reason for the humans on an alien planet to be living in an old west town. If there had been more spoilers in the episode summary, more people might have been interested in it.

Next week looks like it's gonna be another "it was all a dream" episode though.

The episode was pretty good... reminiscent of the old original Star Trek like episodes.

The only problem with it though is that it also reminded me of episodes of Quantum Leap and was expecting Archer to say "OH BOY!" just before he teleported out with the girl... hehe...

I liked it. I usually hate these types of episodes. Almost like holodek episodes, the writers decide they want to write a western instead of scifi so how can we incorporate it? but this one wasn't bad.

not sure why an alien race would fly for 3 months to find slaves, but i guess their ships could have been faster.

a decent episode, despite all the bad things said before people saw it.

I'm not sure about next week's preview.
Spoiler:
Now, I don't think they'd kill off a major character mid-season, but who knows

This episode really feels out of place. In the Xindi arc-driven episodes we've seen so far, every episode has had something to do directly or indirectly with that arc. This one could of taken place at any time or anywhere during the series and has nothing to do with said arc.

From that standpoint, I didn't like the episode.

But, from the standpoint of it's own merits, it did feel like a throwback-type episode and wasn't half bad.

Favorite part had to be Malcolm shooting T'Pol followed by his expression.

Gentlemen:

If the show wasn’t a turkey, we wouldn’t bitch.

For you n00bs who have never posted in an Enterprise thread before, it’s normal for some of us to get together, open some brews, and rag on the show whilst waiting for the week’s disappointment. Bitching about us bitching ain’t gonna change things. Only the writers of the show can do that.

I'm almost ashamed to say 'two good ep's in a row'. Of course I'm a sucker for stories where there is some sort of dramatic revelation like in this ep (ship comes down - 'We're from earth!').

This episode was OK, but it was still just a remake of the Voyager episode "The 37's".

At least they've been staying out of caves lately. The spelunking factor this season is now down to 4/9 or just 44%.

Ouch ... this is painful ... ywW&Cs. The term "throwback" is very appropriate. I was reminded of old school Trek.

yeah, what [insert initial] said

I think we invented that here. And I think it was invented in an Enterprise thread, though I could be wrong about that.

Another DVDTalk original.

Prost!

Finally saw the episode and it wasn't half bad. I'm not a fan of Western motifs but the writers made the best of it.

My one and only minor complain (because there always has to be a complain) is that the shootout took way too long. You would think those military commandos would have better aim than that.

Next week should be interesting if the preview isn't pulling our legs.

I haven't watched a Star Trek show regularly since STNG, although I did watch quite a few DS9 eps and thought it got better and better each season. I tried to watch Voyager, but just couldn't hang with it. I'd say I haven't seen a majority of epidodes of Voyager. I was really excited about Enterprise, but it turns out I couldn't stick with it either. I think it had such great potential. And even retconning would be okay, if they didn't over do it. However, I didn't keep up with it, either. Thanks to this thread, though, I may have to start watching it again. After all, I have beer and plenty of sarcastic commentary.

I noticed that they added Star Trek to the title, I knew that would happen eventually. Can't believe they kept the theme song, though. I must sheepishly admit that I sometimes find myself humming it.

Must add, my favorite moment from the episodes I have seen is Trip's boner from the pilot. That was pretty funny. Not that I could blame him.
