CSI (10/30): Fur and Loathing

This was one weird and twisted episode.

Case #1: Two people from the PAF-Con are found dead?! Please tell me those things are not real...

Grown adults "scritching" and "yiffing" each other in animal costumes? Sick, sick, sick!

Case #2: The stiff in the freezer. Loved the effects shot of the frozen beads of blood.

All in all an ok episode.

 moment: Slow shot of Brass escorting "Sexy" in cuffs down the hall of the police station to the interegation room.

Yep, those things are real. At my last job we got one of their tapes to edit, Furries they like to be called. I walked by midway through the show and almost fell over. Strange mofos :)

Grissom was hilarious when he first got to the convention. I loved the shot of him sitting in the lecture fascinated and being the only one not in a costume.

i could have done without the the the shot of the stain on the costume under the UV light.

"What didn't you like about Rocky?"
"He was a Racoon"

Funniest scene is the one where Greg almost made a comment about eating.

Spooky 10-31-03 04:50 AM

My vote for funniest moment:

Catherine saying: "I may like a hairy chest, but that doesn't mean I want to bop a six foot weasel!"

BTW, am I the only one here who would really like to "yiff" Marg Helgenberger?!

Chew 10-31-03 05:58 AM

Just one very bizarre episode.

Patman 10-31-03 07:35 AM

That was some disturbing stuff (the furries). I am getting a little tired of Grissom's puns at the end of the episodes nowadays.

Nick and Sara's case was a throwback to the old days of CSI where they did tests, and re-constructed the scene of the crime to give them possible answers to how things happened.

Can't wait for the Clown Sex episode (if they did the furries, can't see why they can't do an episode where things go hideous wrong at a clown sex party - as seen on one of those HBO specials in the past year or two).

 Yeah, I caught that. My wife was sitting right next to me and missed it.
I never said a word.

Oh yeah!

My biggest complaint about the episode...not enough "downshirt"
shots of her.

Red Dog 10-31-03 08:45 AM

That was a great episode of CSI. The yiffing session was probably the closest thing to porn that we'll ever see on network television.

Next weeks looks good, hopefully it will deliver.

I missed it but my wife caught it. Then I rewound the tivo to catch it.

Some strange people out there. All in all, I thought it was a good episode.

mikehunt 10-31-03 10:55 AM

odd, very odd
but I had heard of furries before this so it didn't shock me as much as it could have

since CSI is too short to search for, when is the episode that got delayed due to the world series going to be on? the preview for that one looked good

They showed that episode last week - it was preempted was 2 weeks ago - because of ALCS Game 7.

No. Marg is one sexy woman. She looks like she aged 10 years since last season though. Still doesn't bother me though.

I wouldn't mind seeing Marg "yiff" Jorja. Yum.

Patman 10-31-03 12:05 PM

Ugh.

mikehunt 10-31-03 02:14 PM

hmm. my memory is either bad or I wasn't paying attention. I missed the line from grissom about breaking the rules. or maybe I forgot to watch the episode.
damn, now I think I'm going crazy

I think you're right. I remember Warrick in the courtroom from the preview and that never happened last week.

mikehunt 10-31-03 02:27 PM

that's a relief, my memory hasn't gotten as bad as I feared ;)
and back to this episode (I was playing jedi academy and phased out now and then)
did anything happen to the guy that shot the furry? I know he thought it was a coyote but missed if they charged him with anything. I'm thinking probaby not.

MrX 10-31-03 02:32 PM

The only mention of it was by Brass who said they guy would be cleared. I take it their would be an investigation but that's about it.

No charges - accidental shooting.
