This was once the best thing on TV. I stayed up late to watch it and taped a lot of it to watch later.
Sadly, i reused the tapes after I watched them.
C'mon DVD producers, don't be gherkins! release a box set of Night Flight classics!

Never gonna happen. Too many varying music/video rights to secure.

But even without the music, they could still do a compilation of the short films, cartoons etc.

I have a vivid memory of having a concussion and not being able to sleep and watching Night Flight, and always trying to find it on TV afterwards. Funny thing about that is I went and seen the premiere of Ghostbusters the same night. I remember it being on TBS for some reason and not USA, but I could be wrong.

In Chicago, Night Flight was broadcast on a local television station and I loved it. The only problem though was that they only played the first hour. Still, it was a great hour. That was where I was introduced to one of my favorite bands, The Pogues! Between this and The Son of Svengoolie playing classic horror films, I was in heaven. Too bad television sucks today.

Anyone watching the new version of Night Flight on IFC? It's on late Friday nights. It's pretty short though, only 15 minutes. It looks like all the content is from the original show.

Lisa Robinson. In the 70s she was a writer for Rolling Stone. She's the one Rolling Stone always sent out on your with Led Zeppelin and she would always write negative articles about them. She didn't like the music because it was too oriented toward young males and she didn't like them because of all the debauchery involving wild sex with groupies. To her Led Zeppelin symbolized everything wrong with men.

There's a streaming service for classic Night Flight episodes, music videos and cult movies.

BTW, Sven is on Sat nights on MeTV and every time I watch I wonder how they'll do his replacement or just end it and horror hosts will pass on into history.

15 minutes is too short for those IFC shows.

Hard to believe there was a time when USA Network had some balls.
And to whoever said he didn't dig Rhonda Sheer.... dude, are you nuts?
