Derrich, I think your last one was a bit over the top.

He's still got a looooooong way to go if he plans to take over for Classicman2.

What bothers me is the Sci Fi channel, unlike all the *good* channels out there, goes off the air and gives a bunch of time to Kaboom! style paid advertising shows. I can't count the number of times I see "paid programming" listed in a slot that should be filled to the brim with sci-fi(ish) programming. Even 40 year old episodes of the twilight zone would be better than watching a 90 year old Jack Lalanne hawk his latest juice-a-matic.
Of course, anything is better than the latest straight to video David Keith movie sci fi is so enamoured with. I guess I'm torn. |
Thanks for answering my question, Derrich. Though not a direct answer, your last post certainly verified my suspicions about your posts.

is he the Epoch guy?

I only saw the last part of the second Epoch and the first part of the first the other night. it wasn't total crap, but wasn't great.
did an imdb search, it's him and Billy Dee Williams was in the 2nd one, that has to make it worth it :) |
Guess again.
I saw both of them over the weekend. The first was watchable, if you don’t mind cheesy FX. The second had even cheesier FX, but some were pretty funny, so I liked it on that level. (Mass parachute drop, parachutes opening almost like a cartoon.) Which brings up a point in favor of SciFi [sic]. I doubt I would ever consider buying either of these on DVD. But I was interested in the sequel to Cube. If not for SciFi [sic], I might have made a blind purchase. Glad I didn’t. I think they provide a service by letting us see crap without having to buy/rent, thus saving money for pizza. And having seen Taken, I’ve saved enough for two seasons of DS9. |

Yeah, the Apollo 13 Scifi Premiere this past weekend was a real milestone. There was also some other "science fiction" movie as well, but I can't even remember which one.

Sci-fi is one of the cable channels I never watch. I wouldn't even know what's on it. I'm guessing Star Trek reruns.
|
... actually it's STEVEN SPEILBERG PRESENTS star trek reruns.
