Damn, this is terrible. I just ordered the What's Happening dvds from Time Life yesterday.

Charlie Goose 10-22-03 07:26 PM

Darn. I used to love that show. I remember some years ago he was giving acting lessons in NYC. I was tempted to take a class for laughs. Maybe Nickolodeon or TV Land will do a marathon.

Goldberg74 10-22-03 07:28 PM

He was just on I Love The 70's too.

Who are the next two to fall?

POWERBOMB 10-22-03 09:51 PM

This is too many deaths too deal with in one week.

HistoryProf 10-22-03 09:54 PM

Ok, Hepburn, Cash, Ritter....those I could handle....but this? This is the height of unfairness...

Darren Garrison 10-22-03 09:54 PM

I've had that damned opening theme music for What's Happening running (or re-running?) through my head ever since I read about this.

Scrubs is gonna have to be more careful about picking guest stars or it's gonna get a reputation. With John Ritter, now Fred Berry... Jimmie Walker has got to be scared right now.

Joking aside, this is indeed sad news.

GMLSKIS 10-22-03 11:50 PM

That's sad to hear, I just saw him on a dating show months ago.

Giantrobo 10-23-03 02:08 AM

I remember him being a kick ass "Pop- Locker" back in the day.

So basically all the fat people on What's Happening are dead. Shirley, Momma, and now Re-Run.

:(

berserker37 10-23-03 02:55 AM

Hey Hey Hey...

What the world needs now... is a Flash animation of one of Rerun's famous dances!

And I've got his infamous bootleg recording of the Doobie Brothers' concert.

By the way, what was the tall skinny kid's name? His mom used to call him Roger, but I remember seeing a birthday banner for him that said "Happy Birthday Raj"?

big whoppa 10-23-03 04:19 AM

Death must have been weight-related. RIP Re-run.

Tall guy was Roger. Rog or Raj for short.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find a shot of Rerun doing the dance with Elliot and Amy Smart. :(

Rest in Peace, Fred -- you will be missed.
