Reminder: New South Park (10/22)

Just a heads-up that the new "South Park" season starts tonight. I, for one, cannot wait. I might give that new Robert Evans show a try too.

Chew 10-22-03 09:53 AM

Looking forward to some new South Park

Red Dog 10-22-03 09:56 AM

It has been so long since we've seen a new episode. Should be great. I believe the next 8 weeks are all-new episodes.

JestersTear 10-22-03 12:53 PM

I hope the eps are better than the last batch... as a whole, they were so disappointing.

Well, at least they were to me. I had just picked up season 1 on DVD, and it seemed that the show had really gone downhill when compared to the first season.

The entire run wasn't bad, though... Krazy Kripples had me laughing my ass off.

das Monkey 10-22-03 01:16 PM

Right now, the world needs nothing more than some South Park to remind us of how stupid we can be. Can't wait.

"Gay." :D

JestersTear 10-22-03 01:22 PM

Since no one else has put it in this thread yet, here's the episode synopsis, courtesty of epguides.com

The town of South Park is joining the hip new homosexual craze. Suddenly, it's cool to be gay! Cartman, Stan, Kyle and Kenny go head to head with the other kids to see who can be the "gayest," while Mr. Garrison responds with, "If straight people are gonna steal our culture, then us REAL gays are just gonna have to step it up a notch!"

Meatpants 10-22-03 01:24 PM

According to AICN, the title of tonight's ep is "South Park is Gay"

Thanks for the reminder.

Sounds like real "must see" TV. :)

Matt and Trey were on Jimmy Kimmel a couple of nights ago. They showed a clip and it was pretty damn funny.

how long is this season going to be? is it going to be split up? last year it seemed like they showed 4 eps then repeats

Groucho 10-22-03 03:49 PM

Eight episodes now, more episodes several months down the road. Matt and Trey prefer to split the season up like that so that they can keep the show more topical.

We are just coming out of the split. The 1st half of S7 was the 7 episodes aired in March/April. There are 8 new episodes for the next 8 weeks - these make up the 2nd half of S7.

Word. Was it last season, or the season before, they looped in a topical news reference that was only 12-24 hours old? I forget the news item, but I was blown away that it was something that had happened very early that morning.......

KTIK 10-22-03 05:50 PM

In 2000, they had an episode involving a school election recount about a week after the Florida recount.

They quickly put together an Elian Gonzalez episode (the one with the quintuplets).

Jobronie 10-22-03 09:03 PM

Two minutes in, and I'm already LMAO at the concept.

Looks like I'm not going back to L&O tonight......

Wow, so funny I hope it's the weakest episode of this run.

And who the **** is Robert Evans!??

DJLinus 10-22-03 09:38 PM

My favorite line of the night, from Cartman: "That coat is so Sept. 10th."
