Good News/Bad News

Good News:
Saw the new commercial for the Shield last night during Nip/Tuck, and it was great, it hinted at things to come, but showed no clips.
Very slick looking, and well conceived.

Bad News:
Coming 2004.


WTF this is the only show I know that starts January, runs till early April then is off till next January. This sucks.

Hey, at least it doesn't have a Sopranos-type schedule. :)

2004 will get here pretty quick so I can wait.

Won't be any quicker than any other year ;)

With the Season 2 DVD set coming out in early January, this move probably makes sense.

Not to mention typical. It makes MORE sense when you consider that all of the over-hyped crap network TV will not be distracting potential audiences with new shows as they would be doing if the show was starting right now. I have plenty to watch/record right now without having to try to grab The Shield too. IMO, this show starting in January is GREAT. There will probably be little left on worth a salt (esp when Boomtown gets canned:() by then and this show will get my full attention.

MY PROBLEM is that I want FX to re-air SEASON 2 before January! What's up with THAT?!?!

I thought about making a thread for this, too. I thought it was pretty neat... the lighting and camera work made it almost like a French art film. ;)

I saw a promo for Season 3 of "The Shield" during the pilot of "Nip/Tuck." It was actually same as the promo they did for Season 2 (B&W clips of the characters with audio clips of their quotes played over)...they just used Season 2 audio clips instead of Season 1.
